Arsenic Lupin posted:gently caress, I wish I were capable of playing platformers. The reflexes just aren't there/I don't feel like spending the time to learn them. I really liked the Ori games (free with game pass) but I hit a wall with both where it just gets too tricky and I'm just too ambivalent to actually put in the work to get past so they just go on the dustheap. A shame because they're gorgeous looking games!

I recommend Koi Farm for a nice soothing game. When you start getting to the pages with weird colors you'll eventually want to go look at the guide. It turns out to be critical to watch your stream every time it rains; eventually a brown fish will show up and you should grab it immediately.

In addition to different colors and patterns, you can also selectively breed for size and body type. Like a fish long and skinny, or maybe you prefer more roundish, like a basketball? Or do you want a fish that is tiny when fully grown? And, the dev put the source code up on GitHub Someone did a good thing, yay!

Freelance, if you set up a thread, link it here, please! I've gotten very frustrated waiting for the first brown fish. StrixNebulosa, I'm so grateful for your regular contributions to this thread. In particular, Cozy Grove is fulfilling my Stardew Valley longings, much more than Ooblets ever did. I have a pretty high limit for cute, but Ooblets zooms past like it's an interstate speed limit in Texas.

drat a lot of bangers today. This looks really dope, if anyone ends up picking it up would they mind posting their thoughts? Doesn't look like it redefines the wheel in terms of deckbuilders and RPGs of this style, but playing with friends is hella appealing. This has mixed reviews but all of the reviews in English are positive, which is the fun kind of annoying, but given this kind of game is Extremely My poo poo(TM) I think I'm gonna pick it up anyway.

It's an unusual mix of genres, but it pulls it off pretty successfully I think, I played and enjoyed it during early access The meat of the game is turn based combat using cards, so if those aspects tickle your fancy you should check it out

I've had it in early access for a while and it's quite fun. There's 3 different story adventures, a freeform adventure mode, lots of scaling difficulty that you'd expect to see in a roguelike deckbuilder, but the tactical elements play a bit like Gloomhaven. I don't know if it's a perfect game, but it's one I really enjoy.

Trials is notable in that despite being a deckbuilder it really doesn't feel at all like the Slay the Spire model that dominates the subgenre. The combat model and how you use your cards is really unique feeling.

Is that too much to ask?
