That Ivelisse clip is so damning. I missed it in that match but that's just crazy unprofessional. Did she get to work another match after that? Because she shouldn't have.

She worked a dozen or so more matches for AEW. They really wanted to make her spot on the roster work, to their credit.

According to Bix's conversation with Ivelisse in that thread she acted the way she did because (according to her) she was the one leading the match and Rosa just decided to take over.

Even if that's the case, what was her endgame with reacting that way? It sure af doesn't make Rosa look bad. You'd think a veteran would just shoot on her or something

Oh I'm right there with you. Visibly sulking and not cooperating is completely unprofessional and gets you nowhere.

That's...odd, given that her excuse for that right after it happened was "I'm the veteran, and Rosa is supposed to do everything I say and i'm supposed to lead the match", which doesn't rule out Rosa taking over, but sounds more like Rosa led the match and Ivelisse got upset about it. Of course, it's Ivie, so..what ISN'T she upset about.

I think what you said is more accurate than what I said, like in Ivelisse's own mind she should've been leading the match since she's been in the business longer than Rosa has.

According to Google, she's 33. She's too loving old to be getting pissy over the outcome of a pretend fight. Holy poo poo, get to gently caress with that poo poo, like.

Fundamentally Ivelisse created a situation where AEW had to choose between Thunder Rosa and her, and I would be shocked if a wrestling company in that circumstance didn't choose Thunder Rosa.

:o:
It's not like she was even world's champion like Bret and Shawn. There's no excuse for an ego like that. She got mad Thunder Rosa called a snapmare in the ring. You've been wrestling half your life come the gently caress on.

I was curious and her last match in aew was a defeat (with Diamante) to KiLynn King and Red Velvet on Dark.

oh, I'm not stating fact. just going by the video. Rosa does a snapmare and Ivelisse immediately looks upset.

Rosa wants to be a legit mma fighter outside the ring and is actively training for such, shooting on her would be...unwise at best.

The court history is here: http://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/docket/CriminalCourtCases/caseInfo.asp?caseNumber=CR2019-006488 but the gist is he's not been found guilty yet. There's also no record that I can find of what he was accused of trafficking.

Re: Thunder Rosa vs Ivelisse.

All specifics aside. Isn't the calling card of being a veteran wrestler the ability to remain professional under all circumstances? The ability to continue on under duress, and still put on a good show, because you have been there/done that in this business? Going a little bit further, surely the ability to adapt, and work WITH your opponent if they try to do different, non planned stuff is also the calling card of a veteran/professional?

If so, then sure, Ivelisse may have been wrestling for chronologically more time than Rosa, but she sure as gently caress was not the veteran. She was certainly not professional. And to have the stated excuse be "I started doing this before she started doing this. So I am justified in pouting when she, also a 10+year veteran, doesn't do exactly what I tell her."

So again, not knowing the details, but it smells like a Low Ki baby tantrum to me.

Her instagram has the same profile picture update and the latest post is that "no signal" image, but her bio still mentions AEW and she was promoting the show in her stories last night so I think you're probably right.

Now that she's fully back and healthy it'd be great to see her get a solid story going on.

Truthfully, I had no idea who Richards was, so it did nothing for me, but half the crowd was super into it.

Law lord had just successfully defended against Chris Dickinson in a Bloodsport style match, so I got what I came for.
