One day my income will be stable enough to hit the Between the Sheet patreon. I basically have to after listening to that time you did original reporting live on air for the ECW on TNN deep dive and than released that ep for free for a time or something.

Are you sure I'm winning the Rumble? That does'nt seem right.....
Listening to the AEW unrestricted with Christopher Daniels is fun. 4 months from starting training to winning his first title, after training 4 days a week for 4 hours a day.

His story of meeting Vince Russo was also perfectly WCW: he was told to stay home until they had an idea for him. Vince and Eric told him they had an idea, to come in one TV day, were busy all day, and then finally meet him some hours after TV and Vince says "so what ideas do you have for us?".

Thank you! That discovery was wild, and I'm glad I found it during the first ep so we'd be aware of it during the subsequent episodes. Also, the Patreon eps we've released for free full as teasers for those who haven't tried the Patreon yet are still available:
https://twitter.com/BTSheetsPod/status/1243011697704656896
https://twitter.com/BTSheetsPod/status/1256229705696632832

I need to put together a master list of every Patreon show so far that non-Patrons can see, too. I don't say this just because it's the main way the show is monetized, but those deep dives are, by and large the best shows we do. There are others that are up there, but doing the deep dives—especially now that we're supplementing the newsletter coverage with trade magazines and website content—gives you a new perspective on a LOT of things. If just because it becomes clear that the sheet writers—all of them!—had a bad habit of not looking back at their own coverage, not reading the trades you'd expect them to read, etc. Like in the above linked GWF episode, it's clear that Steve Beverly—who did a lot of great work and who I adore personally—wasn't noticing that the "Nigerian backer" stories kept contradicting themselves.

You also notice things that wouldn't be apparent otherwise, like how we quickly discovered doing our Flair leaves the WWF/returns to WCW show (covering '92-'9) that months and months before Flair left the WWF and Lex Luger debuted as a wrestler in the WWF, there was a rumor that two promotions were going to work out a trade where WCW got Flair in exchange for ending Luger's pro wrestling non-compete clause. Then, January comes, and Flair leaves as Luger goes on the road as a wrestler. Doesn't necessarily mean that the trade happened, but that immediate got our attention because of how it ended up working out.

Or my personal favorite, how the Continental section barely existed in the Observer before Eddie Gilbert and Paul Heyman showed up, ballooned in size when they arrived, and immediately shrank back to almost nothing as soon as Dave's friends were no longer booking the historically closed-off territory.

Also: There was a proto-Patreon deep dive where Jordan Breen joined us to cover Brawl For All!

Oh, BTW, the Herb Abrams shows may have helped get me the Dark Side of the Ring gig because the episode and my notes were apparently both big helps in doing the Herbie episode of DSotR. (Well, that and the Snuka article.)

Big Dave WM ratings are out and even for Dave some of these are giant head scratchers with the most commonly noted theres only a quarter star difference between Sasha Banks/Bianca Belair and Asuka/Rhea.

The second most noted thing is somehow the best WM match according to him was Roman/Bryan/Edge.

Aside from the Bellas, the only surprise was Azeez, the 6-foot-9 360 pounder who was Dabba-Kato in a run on Raw last year where he was pushed on Raw Underground leading to a loss to Braun Strowman and a trip back to the abyss. That is a play on word since Chris Park is working with some of the big talent.
