My only problem from listening to the first couple episodes of mission to zyxx is the insane amount of sound modulation and audio effects they use - Hello From The Magic Tavern uses a crazy amount too, but much more subtly. Listening to Zyxx too long just gives me a headache

Zyxx gets way better after about the first season and hits its stride when it introduces AJ. I'm not a fan of the constant ragging on Pleck as like the sole source of comedy in the first season.

TAZ The final battle was fine but I wish they had been able to fight Order themselves for a little while instead of a million hellhounds. The Chaos effects of the battle were really good. The Firbolg's ending was great.

Lot of joking-(not-joking?) talk about needing to find something to fill out the runtime of the episode to make a living / keep the advertisers happy I dunno how much of that anxiety was truth vs joke, but I'd be curious how much revenue comes from MaxFun subscriptions vs ads. I was under the maybe-mistaken impression that most of the hosts' revenue comes from subscribers.

For MBMBaM the "Non Profit" ad read rate was $9000 per read, back in 2017. They're doing 3-5 reads per episode. (As well as each doing multiple podcasts with TAZ/Wonderful/Sawbones/Schmanners) Don't know whether subs are worth more. But advertising is certainly not a small sum.
