And while certainly the conditions of the first-world worker are in places benefited by capitalism (explaining their drift towards reformism), they are as you said immiserated in other ways that can't just be fixed by throwing money at them. So I think the prospects for revolution are, while dim, still present in the first world - and brightening daily, given the gradual eroding of the wage differences that are the bedrock of unequal exchange and the increasing impossibility of a reformist solution as the rate of profit decreases.
