There was an interesting retrospective on his intellectual evolution by Adam Tooze in the London Review of books https://www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v43/n08/adam-tooze/the-gatekeeper recently, so I guess some set of people care about him. Certainly Biden's econ appointments are closer to Krugman's views than Obama's cabinet was, and I think you can get some idea from the debate on the Biden stimulus that Summers and Krugman had https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbZ3_LZxs54 .

The actions of police actually make a lot more sense when you consider the police unions as organized crime syndicates that are shaking down the government for "protection" against other organized crime. The ways they act are pretty consistent with this. That's actually how most organized crime gets started throughout history, as rented or volunteer neighborhood "law" enforcement. The CPI rent index went from 188 twenty years ago to 346 for the most recent month available. That works out to an average increase of 3.1% a year, which seems pretty reasonable? Worse on the coasts and urban areas, most likely, with inland rents likely pretty flat.

Including a pretty big EPA research thingybob to study racial inequities in water infrastructure implementation. 89-2 vote, which is encouraging for the future of other unspectacular but decent bills.

Just chiming in that the police raid on a "search and arrest" entails having police/swat roll up like they're extras from Black Hawk Down is overkill. Just wait til the guy is out shopping to raid his house and then arrest him while he's out bowling or whatever - no need to treat it like he's going to come out blazing with akimbo AK-47s and Commando Pro on, running around like it's a video game. Also, the whole "just listen to orders from the police" prove they don't work, so it's no surprise that people try to run or drive away - it's for their drat lives. The threat of court packing backfired spectacularly for FDR, his Congressional majority, and his agenda. It was probably the weakest point of his presidency. What happened was that in the next few years multiple justices died or retired, so soon enough the court was mostly FDR appointees and supporters. Not saying this is an argument against pressure on the court today. Only pointing out that the popular myth of FDR cowing the court into submission is just that.
