Oh drat, I remember Josh Duggar being in the news a couple of years back for molesting his younger sisters, and he talked about how he was so totally sorry and prayed to Jesus to forgive him and all the right wingers at the time were going "Sure he made a mistake but he's changed now thanks to God, quit criticizing him!" e: Oh yeah, as far as the Duggars and their group go, they belong to Quiverfull, an organization that essentially says women should live their entire lives pregnant. It's based on a verse in Psalms that says that a man that has many children is blessed as if he had a quiver full of arrows. They obviously are anti-birth control and abortion and think married couples should always be trying to have more kids. This is a bit distinct from Catholicism which is also of course anti-birth control but they're more "Don't deny the possibility of having children" rather than "Literally always be having children," plus Catholics use Natural Family Planning which is keeping up with your wife's menstrual cycle so you can tell when she's more and less likely to get pregnant, which is something Quiverfull also is against. So while you see Catholic families with five or six kids being pretty normal, with the Quiverfull group it's more like 10+ kids. The kind of momentary, professional face-to-face interaction where you need to be visually reminded of the person's name seems like a great time for pronouns to be laid out as well.

I hate local media so much. They are not outright right wing media but they cannot try to hold local Chud politicians accountable without the local chuds throwing a giant fit. We have local politicians that make our county a “gun sanctuary county” or fight Covid restrictions or fight culturally responsive teaching and the local news media just reprint their poo poo without an ounce of critical thought. Now, one of them is running for Governor so he gets no pushback whatsoever. One local paper criticized him in the op Ed section back in the early Covid days for his anti-restriction rallies and they ended up having to put an apology out because they did not want to give the appearance of picking sides after the chuds went after them.
