My suspicion is that they're getting Brookes and Akki to do the That's JPW shows as a way to get them confident and competent enough to call a full TJPW show by themselves. If so it's working.

They've announced the format for the Hana Kimura memorial show (Mystery Vortex style with the entrance music signalling whose in each match) The official Twitter account is going through who's on the show and why. So far we have Kagetsu: Hana's senior and mentor. Came out of retirement for this show. Asuka/VENY: Hana's tag team partner. Ram Kaichow: One of Hana's oldest friends going back to before they even went to elementary school when Hana was living in Okinawa.

Yoneyama is officially booked and is on the homepage. They're just explaining why these people are booked and they've only done those three so far. Kyoko also said that all the Okinawan wrestlers are on the show because Hana grew up among them

Spreading it out gives them more chances to build the individual matches. Considering that they are building to another Stars/Oedo Tai match and Utamu/Syuri for Ota Ward and I doubt they're gonna have Giulia win back to back I feel like the only people with an actual shot to win are Maika/Himeka/Says Kamitani. In that case I'll root for Saya. Though there is the apocalyptic scenerio of Unagi winning if Rossy completely loses his mind.

I just got a Stardom-world account and I've been binging. I've been an off and on casual pro wrestling fan for a long time, but I'm surprised how I've been sucked in. I have a lot of questions! What are some of the more famous matches? I've probably watched around 15 matches, and some of them were really incredible. A match between Io Shirai and Mayu really stuck out to me, as well as a couple with Arisa Hoshiki. I was devastated to learn that Hoshiki retired recently! I read it was due to "head and neck" issues, which doesn't surprise me at all the way these girls are constantly getting dropped on their neck, it doesnt seem to me like these moves (dragon suplex, reverse piledriver, etc) are even legal in WWE? It's a tragedy if it's true that Hoshiki's career was cut short due to this. It's interesting to me how these moves that drop someone on their neck are legal in Japan, but they seem to be overly cautious about anything that goes on outside the ring. It beaks the immersion a lot to have 5 or 6 rookies outside to break the fall of someone when they jump out of the ring.

Question for anyone with a Wrestle Universe account: have you ever gone back and watched UP UP GIRLS PRODUCE ALL UPPER KICK TOGETHER? If not, then why not? It's literally the greatest professional wrestling show of all time. The opening match alone features the Up Up Girls powering up Nodoka Onee-san via song to allow her to escape from Kamiyu's submission and it gets better from there. Please watch. She debuted in New York against Kyoko Kimura a month before Hana's debut, and much like how Hana's name has the kanji for flowers, Mio's has the kanji for cherry blossoms, so Kyoko saw a connection between them. Kyoko had hoped to see them wrestle many times. (checking Cagematch they wrestled in one singles match for Sendai Girls. Their last meeting was in 2018 when Boss to MAMMY defeated Flourish to retain the WAVE tag titles)
