I was curious what was going on with the development of Kingpin Reloaded, and looking at the dev's twitter I had no idea they were also working on Graven as well. This game looks really good! Also, their bio says a SiN remake is coming as well?

Shot in the dark here, but picked up Blade Of Agony and immediately stumbled into a hidden switch outside of the briefing building in Episode 1 - Flipping it on enabled "Debug Mode". Is this cool or useful, because it apparently can't be disabled. Its directly to the left of the front door, on the corner of the building. Decent mod from what I've played so far, performance is rough on my midrange desktop though

Yeah, it's the UT99-based build from before they threw out most everything to chase the dream of Doom 3-style lighting. I believe the footage came from a private livestream the current owner of 3D Realms did years ago.

It's a little surprising they switched to shadowmaps, and I almost wish they'd left stencil shadows in as a toggle. Given the visual style it might have looked better.

Stencil shadows became nonviable once Creative Labs obtained a patent for the best way to do them. id made a deal to be able to use them in Doom 3, but everyone else just switched to shadow maps. I believe that patent has expired by now, but shadow maps are common and mature enough that we don't really need stencil shadows any more.

you may not be as internet poisoned as me but I don't really trust a game that looks like this. not that I haven't been wrong about games before, but still fake edit I clicked the link to the dev's twitter, which links to their personal twitter where they draw sexualized gore and link to a hashtag of rule 34 of that very game, so I suppose I'm exactly internet poisoned enough

Thing is, I couldn't give a hoot if the dev drew guro porn for fun and proft in his own free time. More power to him! This isn't about a milkshake-duck effect, but rather that the game itself is thinly veiled smut with not much merit as an actual shooter. If it was a bit more upfront about it, like all those awful adult anime 'dating' games, it'd still be icky but at least its advertising itself to the right crowd, instead of people looking for a retro-fps and getting an eyeful.

To be fair, Notch was seemingly ok and actually had an inclusive viewpoint until like 2015 when got divorced and went completely off the rails to shitheadville. I think that makes it worse though that he shifted so much compared to a lot of other rear end in a top hat devs who were always awful.
