I'm guessing this has a very minimal chance of actually causing damage or landing somewhere populated because it's not on the news every minute attempting to cause mass panic amongst the people for ratings.

OP is pretty inaccurate abou the rocket stage "accidentally" going into an unstable orbit. It very deliberately left itself in a low parking orbit and immediately began tumbling becuase they wanted it that way. They chose not to put any thrusters on the core stage that could stabilize it or choose where to come down. China just doesn't give a gently caress.
