Do you think the legendary edition will fix Jack's ME2 storyline having no conclusion unless you have a penis and you want to press spacebar to cycle through a series of awkward cuddling animations.

Nope. And they've already confirmed that you can't be gay until ME3 when Steve, Traynor, and Kaidan become available.

I'll probably still buy it, but I'm not particularly excited.

It's been a long time since I last played through ME2 and much longer still since I did my romance-Jack playthrough, so I don't really recall, but how did it actually end again aside from said cuddling animations?

The convenience of having the whole series in one install that works together smoothly, graphics improvements to 1, and all the engine, UI, and technical improvements.

It's not like I've spent more than ten bucks on Steam in the last five or six years.

In that case I think the only thing that could tempt me to buy it is if they've removed the lock opening minigame from ME1. Anyone know?

They said that the minigames are going to be unified across all platforms, so it will at least change for two of the platforms maybe?

I'm unironically looking forward to seeing an all-new variant that will upset people even more than the old ones. If it's as tedious as planet-scanning in ME2 I might, admittedly, find a way to cheat my way around it, though.

Jack's whole arc in 2 is about coming to terms with her past and learning to trust others again because not everyone is out to screw her over. If you're Femshep she says you're okay but gently caress off because coming to talk to her is getting weird. If you're Sheploo and you take the romance path she gets severe nerves right before the suicide mission and you're the only one on the ship she trusts so she comes to your quarters and finally breaks down crying.

Mechanically it's the same as any of the other romances but thematically it's an end point for Jack because it's the first time she actively seeks out help from Shepard and leaves her hidey hole in the engine room. No, Kelly telling you Jack needs help doesn't count.

Plannet scanning in ME2/3 was better than planet scanning in Andromeda, with the forced warp cutscene in between planets in the same loving system.

i guess if you're transfixed on jack's arc completing by the end of me2 the fact that, if she's around and well in me3, she's doing pretty good at grissom might not help all that much

You could skip most of that by pressing spacebar. Even without that, I don't think this is an accurate assessment as far as ME2 is concerned because most of the scanning was required for gathering resources and that was much, much more tiresome than having to wait a few seconds for your ship to approve at the other planet (also let's not forget that in both ME2 and ME3 you manually had to float over to each planet and that it consumed fuel so sometimes you couldn't even get to where you wanted to be without going back to a refuelling station first).

Of course the way Andromeda implemented scanning for resources certainly made things even worse, although on the other hand you could basically ignore that if you made a habit of picking up any above-ground clumps of resources you came across and disassembled weapons and armour you didn't need.

What I love about this is that they did not change anything else about the shot.

Look at her pose here- this is one of those shot reverse shot dialogue scenes, but she's not standing where she should be relative to wehre Shep is looking.

Then you have her bent forwards at the hips at an awkward angle for maximum rear end, but NOT where that's what it'd look like to Shep or anyone else in the room. Instead she's bent forwards for maximum rear end from a camera angle directly behind and below her.

They really did not give a poo poo

I’m sure he was sitting there, reading printed wikis during his makeup session to get ready for the Remaster and thought “maybe if I generate just a little bit of hype?”

I don’t know why Cavill has taken it upon himself to make quality, live-action video game adaptations, but I am all about it.
