qualified immunity is like citizens united. they are not "the problem", as in nothing would actually change if you got rid of them. the rich would just keep giving unlimited money to influence politics and the police would keep brutalizing the poor and oppressed while the courts look the other way because that's how the system is supposed to work. qualified immunity and citizens united were just legal codifications of the system working as intended.
