I guess people showing their tickets on their phones trust that the QR code they display will get them through the barrier? they were a running joke for a long time because brands would attempt to shoehorn them into the public consciousness as a worse version of a URL as a result, it's not exactly unfair to make a lazy joke about people not liking them

Hello I hope this message finds you well. I am Jeremy Powell the president of the Federal Reserve Bank. I am conducting a public interest survey as part of our research into Bitcoin digital currency. To participate please send up to $1000 and we will send it back along with instructions to obtain an equal amount of Bitcoin. Rest assured that as America’s central bank we are fully prepared to honor these terms.

it's likely that he was just already rich, yeah. so many of these startup stories begin with "i put together a presentation and my parents and four of their friends each invested $100,000" but didn't robinhood for some time have some bug/feature where you could start with 100 dollars, short a stock, take those paper gains and buy more stock to short, repeat until you were a paper millionaire but leveraged 1 million percent? or something like that? maybe he did that

and if you borrowed 250k to buy something in feb and sold it for 2M in may then between the original debt and your short term cap gains taxes you'd owe like a million on the two you "earned". less if he holds onto it for a year but lol at hodling doge for a year if you happen to be above water on it

Blotto_Otter posted:loving lol at the categories they used. "Cash & Cash Equivalents & Other Short-term Deposits & Commercial Paper", because maybe people won't care that the vast majority of our reserve is unsecured loans to unspecified and unregulated parties if we sprinkle a dusting of cash and t-bills on top. "Corporate Bonds, Funds, and Precious Metals" because it's completely normal to group corporate bonds and gold bars and "funds" (???) together, it's all basically the same thing. if there's one thing i know about Funds it's that they Are Safe so i don't see the problem here
