He'd be much less obnoxious if he'd just tried to be someone like Wayne who uses his skill to make clever, catchy poo poo that's largely "empty". That's why imo he always seems to do better rapping with other people, or like in that cypher someone posted-he's clever enough and checks all the boxes for being a dude with a decent enough flow and everything, but if you listen to the majority of his lyrics in his albums they're just bad. And his music is designed to bring attention to his lyrics so that's kinda a bad thing. He's not Lupe, or Kendrick, or billy woods, or any number of dudes who are actually able to handle deeper content. I realize you're saying he would be more tolerable if he emulated Wayne, but J Cole definitely doesn't have the wild imagination and adventurousness necessary to make that style work. He's not just conservative in his subject matter, but also takes no creative risks. We'd just be stuck in the same situation where he brings nothing new to the table, except with an additional bad Wayne clone.

Joe started a patreon. Mal and Rory wanted a cut from it directly instead of Joe's company collecting everything and giving them a cut after "accounting". Joe said no. The guys lost interest in participating on the podcast. Joe has replaced them. The long story is more bs of dudes trying to out cool each other and claiming/counter claiming the other for being greedy. Its a lot of bs. But ultimately, Joe didn't want to pay Mal and Rory more. They all decided to part ways. Now, a woman that has a pod on Joe's network has accused him of harassment with video references. I never support Hoe too much because his rep with women has been bad for 20 years. This is another case of women "lying" on him.

The guys had a percentage based split from the jump but Joe would never provide them with the expense numbers to know what they should actually be making for years. The Patreon is just more money they guys don't get because patron isn't included with their contracts because it wasn't a thought when they made them. Joe and his manager are snakes and disgusting. He physically and verbally harassed a talent ON VIDEO and laughed the whole time.
