I personally finished (a very rough) version of all the professional content YEARS AGO (around the time the original patch dropped TBH), but the guy in charge of the project just refused to push it out to a patch because he was lazy and disinterested. I waited months and years. Really kinda pissed me off. I still have txt files of all the text in the game translated. Maybe I should just leak them or something, since it seems like this project is dead beyond dead.

I think I'm most excited for that HD-2D Dragon Quest III remake. That looks fantastic. DQXII being announced is exciting, too, but that's clearly a long ways off.

Hm well a match 3 game, updates to the Japan only MMO, single player version of the MMO, Octopath style remake of DQ3, Erik and Mia ??? RPG, and DQ12 logo. Not sure how many are getting english releases besides DQ12? Remake looks cool since I haven't played many of the older games and fancy new graphics and QOL improvements are a nice bonus.

I tuned in hoping for Builders 3 but the DQIII remake, Treasures, and XII will all please me greatly and also "simultaneous worldwide release" are some of the nicest words I can hear on a Japanese stream.

I’m preemptively disappointed that Dragonpath Quester III isn’t going to have a soundtrack by the same composers as Octopath because that would be the sickest poo poo ever. Like even if they just did remixes of the DQ3 soundtrack, that would rule. Unfortunately it’s probably just going to be the same Sugiyama midis I heard in the Switch port and the Builders games. They say he’s going to have an announcement on Dragon Quest Day and man I hope it’s that he’s finally retiring. I’m super excited for the Erik and Mia game, especially since I really liked Mia and I wanted to see more of her. I’m hoping there will be cameos of the rest of the cast, although in fairness that skeleton pirate looks rad.

So the Steam version (and the PS4 version) were fully replaced with the "Definitive Edition" Switch version good news: that means you get all the content bad news: when I say replaced with the Switch version I mean full on the graphics are kind of worse and you can't buy the original any more

I've been working my way through 8 blind except for build tips. After walking to the casino town I was going to complain about how slow it moves.
