Pentagon confirms new Corbell video is authentic

Its interesting to me that the Pentagon is actually confirming these when they have no obligation to do so. They could just stonewall and refuse to comment if they wanted to. This makes me think the whole disclosure push is lowkey being directed by them

This fucks my head right up more than anything. Government, let alone the loving Pentagon, never confirm poo poo about dick if it's unwillingly released.
I am so confused

He's basically all but said that he saw some insane ufo poo poo as part of his role at AATIP but that he can't just come out and release it due to how he got the info, whether it's NDAs or security clearance or whatever. He's still a big US government natsec/intel guy after all, so instead he's trying to backdoor it by getting Congress poking around on national security grounds.

And the navy instantly confirming poo poo and giving Corbell videos would suggest he's got senior navy people on board too.

Yeah, that last bit is important. Writing it off as a psyop is too simple and trite without some good explanation of what this all achieves - but whatever it is, it very much has the blessing of senior leadership, or they would be a lot fewer leaks and none of them would be confirmed.

Personally, the simplest explanation to me is that they really don't know what these things are, and the internal faction that wants to find out for national security reasons has finally gotten ahead of the factions that want to pretend they don't exist to avoid embarrassment, or because they "know" they're actually demons sent by Satan or whatever.

what this all achieves

Very shortly after "disclosure" - stated as the reason for disclosure, now - the UFOs were designated as a national security threat. More money for defense contractors and justification for trillion dollar war toys; more security apparatus, surveillance, and civil rights foreclosure for the populace.

See, heard this one too and it also broadly goes against any military messaging I've ever been privy too.
The message is always "our fighters on the front lines have the best, we have the very best, we are the bestest best to ever best"
Openly admitting any sort of weakness or deficiency might be something a contractor would do but official messaging would never loving okay that, it looks terrible and is hugely demoralizing to your subordinates. I just don't buy it given that there are easier ways to lobby for more money without spitting in the face of their tradition

I'm not calling you an rear end in a top hat buddy I'm just saying if you've been around military bureaucrats you'd realize them okaying a "look at how lovely our operation is" campaign on a huge level would be impossible. Careers get blackballed for pettier slights than that.

Like I guess maybe it could be coordinated by a subset and the majority is kept in the dark but it'd still hugely piss bureaucrats and service members off alike when/if they ever find out. The risk/reward versus just saying "we have identified new threats from... China or something" and getting another bucket of billions is easier than leaking video after video in a coordinated campaign to suggest your organization is inept

I dunno, maybe someone is bored. Maybe there's a different purpose to it altogether, but I just don't buy funding as a sufficient reason for the effort

Also, anyone asking for money for UFOs is going to get mocked way more than just blaming it on China - which they can, and are, doing for other things. If you want more money, you go with Cold War 2, not aliens.

Remote viewing, though? Telepathy? Roswell?

EDIT like don't get me wrong, I am fascinated by these new reports and genuinely don't have a loving clue what's going on, and I don't doubt there are a lot more similar videos we'll get to see/hear as the months and years go on. But once you start saying that Bigfoot is part of the mystery or whatever I tend to think that you (in this case, Elizondo) aren't credible. Just like Bob Lazar and the rest of em, he seems to be going down the same old path of saying juuust enough to keep confirming all our selection biases without pinning himself down in public, while bollocking on about MJ12 or whatever to true believers.

my newest hot take is that this is a clever ruse to convince a lot of smart educated people to stop touching computers for lovely tech startups and instead touch computers to develop better anti-missile/aircraft tech under the guise of defending against aliens

sign up for space force, help fix our ship-mounted railguns so we can use DRM-free ammo when the saucers arrive

All that'd take is higher salaries and an easy hiring process

In fairness, the government finding it easier to invent a massive UFO conspiracy than just raise salaries is the most plausible explanation for a psyop I've heard yet.

the aliens use quantum energy teleportation to break vacuum passivity, and extract negative energy from the zero point field via injecting small amounts of energy into squeezed states within local-vacuum regions.

I don't know why they'd need to make up aliens to get more money. We don't have a democracy, weapons manufacturers could just give bigger bribes to congress to get bigger murder budgets and promise military leaders future "consulting" jobs where they get millions of dollars for nothing. They don't even need much of an excuse for that either. That would be much cheaper than some convoluted alien horseshit.

Recruitment maybe? But nobody worth their salt is going to enlist and contracting already pays better than the both actual fed work and private sector jobs so I don't get that angle either
