Yeah but you have to imagine a lot of that is down to COVID, although it’s not like they took the first opportunity to get it off him so maybe they really would have let it ride like this the whole time.

Yeah, if at any point their plans had been for that belt to not be on Mox, they would've found a way for it to not be on Mox. The reason they didn't strip him was because he's their guy. He likely would've just been racking up defenses this entire time.

Wild Thing w/ Crowd Status IMHO: Sucks Less, Still Not As Good Nothing was worse in this context than the Troggs version though, so I'm glad they switched that up. Also I really don't know where they go with Mox from here. I feel like what I was dreading when he lost the title is happening BUT it's AEW so I trust them to not poo poo the bed more than I'd trust the other place.

I realize this wouldn't make sense in context but something like Kaz's Elite Hunter gimmick is pretty much exactly what I'd be doing with him if I was booking. It's a high profile program that makes use of his talents but also doesn't require a title.

Wild Thing being a really lovely theme is the only bad part of Moxley’s entire act right now, although Bitch AF is also pretty weak. Everything else is great.

Mox and Eddie being buddies and dealing with poo poo (possibly just the Good Brothers, or maybe against Butcher and Blade given Eddie's history with them) is super fun and a great use of both of them. It also might be cheesy but I'd love for Hangman to win the belt thanks to Dark Order, Eddie and Mox, Kaz, Best Friends, and Death Triangle all putting aside their differences for one night to beat down the Elite and prevent any kind of interference.

Wild Thing rules. I love how Mox made his entrance different than Onita's with his wild, chaotic energy even though they use the same theme. As for what Mox should do now, I think the story they were telling in the match is that Eddie is clearly the weak link in the tag team, so something like Mox seconding Eddie in some singles matches would be a good program for him to work while he's mostly busy being a dad.

Probably second only to Sandman at ONS 2005. You had the crowd losing their minds and singing along while Mox and Eddie went nuts.
