I watched Double or Nothing, I have seen a little of AEW from episodes of Dark (though I mostly watch Colt Cabana matches), so most of these people were new to me, or I only know by mention.

I was very impressed by the event, I can't remember the last time WWE put out something even close to being this good. Orange Cassidy is definitely one of my new favourites.

That's awesome! I hope you keep watching, it's almost always at least a good time and the weekly shows rarely leave you feeling unsatisfied. There's something for everyone.

Out of interest, what made you decide to give DoN a try? I presume it wasn't that match Colt had with the Man Scout a while ago.

I used to really like indie wrestling, I know that it has a bad reputation but I discovered IWA Mid South during the magic moment where It ran good shows (especially the Ted Petty Invitationals) but also Chikara and RoH.
Apart from Wrestlemania I haven’t really watched wrestling for a number of years, but AEW was on my radar and I decided to give it a shot.

Glad you enjoyed it. What was your favourite match?

The PAC/Omega/OC match was spectacular, the battle royale was the runner up.

The only match I didn’t like was the stadium stampede, but that was partly because Jericho was the only wrestler there I was familiar with, and I don’t normally enjoy these kind of matches.

It's like goldy or bronzy, but made of iron.

Yeah, I could see how coming to it cold the Stampede could be a bit weird, even without it being a cinematic match. It was absolutely crammed with references, which is great for longterm fans and less good for people coming to the show for the first time.

also my kid popped harder for that match than anything else he saw, including his favorite OC getting those near falls.

I don't know when I had this idea but for some reason I really want a Chaos Project vs Jurassic Express match where they just throw Serpentico and Marko Stunt at each other for 10 straight minutes.

If the plan is to have him nearly beat Kenny, get mobbed by the elite and then saved by Christian and/or Kaz, you could do a lot worse for guys to group him with to build his promos skills off. I don't think that'll happen, but then, pivoting him from there toward beating Miro will see a nuclear grade pop in the fall/winter.

And years later when he cuts a brutal promo on MJF people will go absolutely nuts in a completely different way.

Alternatively, Mox and Kingston adopt JB and teach him to be an rear end in a top hat

Tony won't, but the complete lack of transit to the venue might. Why can't it be back at the Allstate Arena?

This is the crux of it, really. Wrestlers in AEW tend to get better by being in AEW. The roster has plenty of people who can cut a great babyface promo, so when it starts to really matter they can work with JB and the improvement will get him even more over

If they can keep Mickie out of her husband’s vanity promotion too that’s two really big TV ready names to fortify that division.

Bring in Braun to job to Eddie Kingston on Dark once.

I really want Heidi to show up and just loving run wild. Tommy End would also be cool, though the men's roster is and always has been very full so it's not as much a "WE NEED HIM" feeling for me.

I would have expected WWE to time releases so that they can't coincide with a big event like All Out because they're that petty, but here we are.

She would have made a great manager for Varsity Blonds if Julia hadn't appeared out of thin air.

Maybe she can show up incognito as one of Kenny's Cleaner Dancers and then waffle someone with a broom, just to add another dynamic to The Elite. Though I don't think we've actually seen the dancers in a while now, come to think of it.

I think she could probably fit somewhere in AEW as a manager and sometimes wrestler (kind of like Leva), but I don't think bringing her in to manage Miro would make much sense with his current gimmick of wanting to destroy all living things.

Also theoretically Tommy End and Buddy Murphy. Does Tommy End vs. Penta exist? (brief research shows a Hero/End v Lucha Bros match from PWG, which must have absolutely hosed)
