Marvel XCOM could actually be decent just based on how varied the skills and powers are of each hero making them super distinct, hopefully more so than your average turn based tactics title Also blown away, absolutely gobsmacked at that NBA 2k22 announcement. No loving way!!

I'm gonna be blunt, this console gen is not off to a good start at all. First, we have the hardware shortages. Cp2077 was obviously sick for a while before release, though the estimates when it became apparent are up to debate. Halo Infinite is a firm wait for reviews from what has been seen so far. VTM:BL2 has been incommunicado since the removal of Hardsuit, and if we don't hear anything before the 18 month mark, we should assume PDX has pulled the plug. XCOM 3, even if marvel didn't pull a cuckoo's chick, is likely gonna be on a significantly less tested team, and that's before whatever happens after Marvel launches. KSP 2 is seriously delayed. Deep Silver is a big question mark. Is there anything that looks good there that I missed? Right now, the only lights are in the indie sector so far.

The big devs are in a breathless climb to squeeze every drop of fidelity from these machines (same with last gen), and the games and the dev teams suffer as a result. There’s some cool games on PS5 I want, but most of them are on PS4 too. As far as exclusives go, Demon’s seems like it was good and Ratchet and Clank will probably be cool.

Same thing happens at the start of every new generation. The console manufacturers all make some grand ovations toward the indie scene to help make up the gap and resume not giving a poo poo about them again once the big system-sellers are out.

I'm really happy about indies getting more and more attention because otherwise, I'd only watch E3 for Nintendo. The amount of cinematic trailers and jpeg logo reveals for titles everyone is aware of is staggering. I wish more companies did presentation like Nintendo does, where a trailer is just 90% gameplay. That said, I hope there's a new Mario game cmon
