HM: Penta vs Jack Evans, AEW Dark: Elevation 31/05 It's a Dark match so they don't go as hard as they both can, but it's still a fun match. They have great chemistry, there's some fun poo poo-talking and a heart-warming moment during Penta's entrance

HM 4th May DDT Max Bump 2021 37KAMIINA (Konosuke Takeshita, MAO & Shunma Katsumata) vs DAMNATION (Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Yuji Hino) vs Eruption (Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi) & Yuki Iino HM 4th May DDT Max Bump 2021 DDT Extreme Title / DDT Iron Man Heavy Metal Title Chris Brookes vs Saki Akai It's a cliché at this point to go "this would have been even better with a normal crowd" but it's doubly true here as this was a no-fans show so not even clap crowds getting behind Akai. Could have been a MOTYC. Still ruled a whole lot. DDT Audience Tour in Fukuoka (Afternoon Show) May 29th MOTYC 37KAMIINA (Konosuke Takeshita and MAO) vs HARASHIMA and Chris Brookes - Holy gently caress this came out of nowhere. On a pretaped show, filmed completely with a handheld camera, without commentary, in front of barely more than 100 people, these four guys worked their asses off. Fast paced and hard hitting, this match shows off just how talented these guys are. Unless you're really against matches without commentary, make time to watch this, it ruled. HM Eruption (Saki Akai, Kazusada Higuchi and Yukio Sakaguchi) vs Keigo Nakamura and Junretsu (Makoto Oishi and Yusuke Okada) - Honestly could have been an HM straight off the bat from Eruption's entrance, because Eruption are so goddamn cool. But they backed that up with a real good match squeezed into 8 minutes. Everyone looked good, even the person who was very obviously taking the pin, and they continued the Sakaguchi/Okada stuff from their bombass match the other week. 37KAMIINA (Yuki Ueno and Shunma Katsumata) vs Akito and Yuto Aijima - It was nice to see that Akito and Ueno had no problem getting banged up in preparation for their big singles match on the evening show maybe 5 hours later. The sauna boys remain great, Akito pulled out some real funky leg submissions and Aijima looked real good for someone that only does a couple of matches a year. DDT Audience Tour in Fukuoka (Evening Show) May 29th MOTYC Yuki Ueno (c) vs Akito - DDT Universal Champion - God, it was painful listening to Ueno wimpers of pain after Akito worked over his legs this match. Absolutely loved this, a great fusion of Akito's matwork and Ueno's high energy offence. Absolutely loved this, another one I would heartily recommend making the time to watch. HM 37KAMIINA (Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata and MAO) vs Damnation (Tetsuya Endo, Daisuke Sasaki and Yuji Hino) - I could watch these teams battle every single show, no matter the combination it doesn't get old for me Junretsu (Jun Akiyama, Yusuke Okada and Makoto Oishi) vs DisasterBox (HARASHIMA, Naomi Yoshimura and Kazuki Hirata) - TOKYOOOO with a handheld camera is a sight to behold, Junretsu made up for having to wait for Hirata's dance by beating the poo poo out of him. Yoshimura continues to look good after his extended absence and Harashima git me hyped up for the CyberFest challenge. Good stuff all around

NJPW Road to Dominion June 2nd HM United Empire (Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb) vs Kota Ibushi and Master Wato - Cobb/Ibushi is going to be loving rad, because all of these preview matches have been loving rad CHAOS (YOSHI-HASHI, Tomohiro Ishii and Hirooki Goto) (c) vs LIJ (Tetsuya Naito, BUSHI and Sanada) - NEVER 6-Man Championship - YH and friends continue to make the 6-man belts something I care about after so long of it being a nothing accolade. Real fun match

AJPW Jr Battle of Glory Night 2 June 3rd MOTYC Hikaru Sato vs El Lindaman - Semi Finals, a great match made better with the knowledge that each guy had already wrestled today, and the winner had one more match still to work. Loved it, my favourite All Japan match since Kento/Ashino HM Hikaru Sato vs Fuminori Abe - I was in pain just watching this, awesome stuff Francesco Akira vs El Lindaman - Tournament finals. Some great moments, but it was pretty obvious in parts that both guys were on their third match of the night. One of my absolute favorites of the year so far. Kota Minoura is only 22 years old and is already putting out matches of this quality on a regular basis. MOTYC 3rd June All Japan Junior Battle of Glory Night 2 Fuminori Abe vs Hikaru Sato Look, this match is exquisitely stupid. It's very "2 guys who don't know this is a work" and just batter each other hard with slaps and kicks and of course headbutts. There's not really much flashy here, Abe catches a soccer kick into a dragon screw which is real neat, he also lands a tremendous snap German suplex, there's some good grappling but this is about these 2 smashing each other. But it's really loving compelling in that. If you don't feel nauseous watching someone cut themselves open hardway with headbutts I really recommend this.
