I bypassed our usual process to ban a bigot without running it by the mods, and made it clear that it'll be upgraded to a perma if they act a fool again. They're gone, likely for good, and they'll be handled harshly if they come back and keep their bit up. Sorry this doesn't please everybody, but I'm done going in circles about this.

It's always been a "no gently caress off, that's a ban" approach, not a "well first we must convene a quorum of the elder mods (those who have not fallen on their swords for cartoon porn in QCS) to then have a preliminary meeting about the merits of what is or is not bannable." Yeah ultimately there is like a 1% chance they actually rereg on that account at all, and they're almost certainly using a VPN so linking them to any future accounts to instaban them based on a perma won't really be doable.

I was pointing that instead of leaving the report for mods to handle (and as admins, we usually take the stance of "mods handle their report") I instead saw a report for what was clearly lovely bigotry, and I banned them without hesitation, versus letting a mod review and it and then later approve what they queued. Ultimately, if me banning a bigot within 30 seconds of me seeing the bigoted post is not expedient enough for you, then I don't know what to tell you other than that I'm not a Facebook algorithm and I can't handle everything instantly.

I think if people have a problem with posting going on in EPA they're much better served taking it QCS, a place that the admin team reads and responds to, than bringing it to the Bad Takes thread, a place where they do not. You can't expect kk and JH to be responsible for posts not happening in PSP so bringing posts over here to bitch about just feels incredibly high school.

Before EPA got made I thought it was a poo poo idea because the justification was basically "I want to make jokes on a wrestling forum and not be told that Jericho is a Trumper" but now I post there and enjoy posting about wrestling on a forum for the first time in a long time and this somehow also made me more active on PSP itself. Clearly, the only solution is a third wrestling forum for getting mad at the two others.

It's a hard promotion to like, which is why it has some of the most annoying fans in wrestling. But all comedy wrestling is bad improv/panto and saying it's apartment wrestling that's for perverts is in the upper echelon of aggressively anti-Chocopro reactions. I do think a lot of the demand for the sub forum was inspired by cowardice rather than funny people unable to be funny in this forum and it'll lead to some club house/illuminati bullshit by basically being an off-site on-site. I'm absolutely not the disgusting transphobe rereg, I've been posting/lurking the fourms on and off for almost 20 years, mainly shouting at people to read Brian Evenson in the horror thread, and my recent uptick in posting is probably a sign that I'm not getting enough viatmin D and exercise.

I have no desire to ever post in or even read EPA and no strong opinions on the subforum in question beyond hoping that they keep their poo poo together. I guess I should weigh in since some of my posts were a catalyst for this whole thing. My ChocoPro takes were and still are genuine and this is after I gave it a long and honest chance, I just find it a brutally unfunny promotion with bad wrestling and worse production values. But I was never going to Kramer into the ChocoPro thread and piss all over everybody's cornflakes, that's not my style and I dislike it when other people do that. So I left my opinions to myself and never read the thread, just let people enjoy their poo poo. If that makes me a "coward" for only giving my takes in the other subforum thread specifically designed to let people air random hot takes they wouldn't make in the regular wrestling forum, then whatever. This all could've been easily ignored, but when you bring that poo poo into the Chris Regal thread in a lame attempt at a dunk, you're making it A Thing and stirring up even more needless drama. And you're not helping this subforum's reputation of being overly defensive babies.
