Calling my shot now, the live action Cowboy Bebop is gonna be decent on its own merits but will pale in comparison to the anime. But heck, that's okay. It existing will mean plenty of people will check out the anime for the first time so there's value in that if nothing else.

the only way it could be good would be to tell a story very losely based on the original and with the same main characters and that story would have to be good and thematically fitting guessing it will get 70% of the way there and then drop the ball in the style of the silent hill movie
