Pretty sure my brother had a book that was like an Ocarina of Time strategy guide but was written like a narrative fiction novel.  Nick Custer 5.0 out of 5 stars This is the greatest book ever!!!! Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2004 Okay, this book is kick a** good. Because, not only did it give you a great guide to beat the game, but it told the story of Zelda. It's not supposed to be a players guide though. It described evrything and sense i've played the game, i can make a picture of were hes talking about. Great book, bye now, BUT NOT FOR 40 DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Taralen rated it did not like it This is a "novelization" of the famous N64 game by the same name. But here is the absolute WORST problem with this book. It's the fact he bothered to include anything related to the game's interface. For example: After he defeated Gohma, Link received a Heart Container, which increased his health. Are you kidding me? What does that even mean outside the game's context?! Are we going into metafictional territory?! Why include such a detail?! This completely suspends our belief of the story. How did he expect anyone to take this seriously?! This makes me question what Rich was trying to accomplish with this book. It feels like a guide meshed with novel. Though, really, this would make a poor guide since it's vague as hell.
