prefect posted:the whole "being thrown free in an accident" thing probably made way more sense before they started putting roofs on cars I guess it may also have made more sense in a car whose bodywork is made of flammable magnesium alloy??? quote:The fuel fire raised the temperature of the remaining Elektron bodywork past its ignition temperature, which was lower than that of other metal alloys due to its high magnesium content. The alloy burst into white-hot flames, showering the track and crowd with magnesium embers, made worse by rescue workers unfamiliar with magnesium fires who poured water onto the inferno, greatly intensifying the fire.[14][9] As a result, the car burned for several hours. James Watt employed a whitesmith in the 1760s when working on his experimental steam engine. The first cylinder was made by this whitesmith using hammered iron and solder. Although this technique proved insufficient, when this whitesmith died soon after Watt wrote to John Roebuck greatly lamenting the loss of his "white iron man".[8]

I just realized the Malibu driver dummy's head is covered in red and blue paint. So when the airbag goes off, you can see exactly where the dummy's head impacted. That's neat. (I guess the Bel Air driver dummy's head might be painted too but that's kind of academic.)

The Catholic Church, however, has never explicitly objected to the Moose, despite having condemned similar organizations, such as the Freemasons for their oaths and other rituals. Papal Encyclicals, specifically Paragraph 9 of Pope Leo XIII’s 1884 encyclical: Humanum Genus, condemn any and all Freemasonic organizations and sects and bans the laity from becoming members.

The CPRM / CPPM specification was designed to meet the requirements of corporations that claim to own the intangible creations of the human intellect while balancing the implementation requirements of manufacturers. To accomplish these requirements, the system defined by the specification relies on public-key cryptography's key management for interchangeable media, content encryption, and "media-based renewability."

Cultural impact Barack Obama directly referred to the routine while campaigning to be elected president during a Father's Day speech on June 15, 2008, saying: "Chris Rock had a routine. He said some—too many of our men, they're proud, they brag about doing things they're supposed to do. They say 'Well, I—I'm not in jail.' Well, you're not supposed to be in jail!"[3] In the second episode of the first season of NBC's The Office, "Diversity Day", main character Michael Scott performs a version; resulting in a day-long racial sensitivity seminar for the office staff.[citation needed]
