I think what gets me about Foob for strips like this is that if you changed her expression in the last two panels it's be a good strip. Less glare and more just fatigue, a bit of a smile in the last panel, and it'd be charming.

Classic Kevin & Kell in: Down the Rabbit Hole (December 3-9, 2001)

For the first time in a while, first appearance: ...Wait, who is this guy? :thunk:

ARPANET was one of the first long-distance computer networks that employed technologies comparable to the modern Internet (packet switching and the TCP/IP protocol): it was established by the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA, now DARPA) of the United States Department of Defense in the mid-sixties to early seventies, to make communication between computers easier. Notably, it wasn't just a military project, since several civilian entities (mainly universities) used the network, too -- it was still managed by the government, however. ARPANET was eventually decommissioned in 1990, after the Internet had been established and had begun expanding.

MOUTH: CONFIRMED. Though the matron really looks like a mymble/moomintroll cross.
Moominmamma is keenly aware that when you're the center of a story, things will keep happening regardless of if you're slightly off course or not.

Lunch

Random older Lunch:

TN: Inneklemte dager = Squished(between something) days, pretty much. It's used to refer to whenever there's like 1-2 workdays before/after a weekend, and another holiday.
They're super common in May, as it's dotted with a lot of 1-day holidays, especially in years when Pentecost hits during May. (This year: 1st of may, 13th of may, 17th of may, 22-24 may were red days/official holidays. )

Did plane crashes used to happen way more often, or are we just so accustomed to mass death that they don’t even make the news anymore?

I’m gonna be posting these two strips at a time, but be warned that all the book formatting is hella wonky so some of them will look a bit weird.

No you see, his real name is Jake Rowling, but he needs to use a pen name to avoid brand confusion. Please reference the last 5 days of strips for further clarifications

plane crashes in the us used to be a lot more common but after various incidents in thr late 90s and early 2000s the regs put in place has almost completely eliminated deadly incidents in us commercial flights. save for outliers like suicidal pilots, anti aircraft fire, or having the "dont crash mode" of the plane be dlc its even rare in international flight, especially if the airline is part of one of the alliances
