It is kind of incredible that a Labour leader is trusted less than the Tory PM on the NHS in those polls.

Well I trust Johnson 100% to lie and steal as much as he can, so in a way he is trustworthy.

I think yeah it's just that he has a generally weaselly demeanour so if you think he's untrustworthy you're not gonna trust him on anything.

I feel nervous about this because it feels like promotion, but I know it's a cause a number of people here are interested in so - in a break from the drudgery of news recently - the brewery is going live! Now raising our actual equity investment so we can launch and offer some real, meaningful, employment opportunities to people with convictions, and helping to break the cycle of reoffending. We have a few UKMT members already on board (p.s. PM me if you took part in the Crowdfunder and I'll convert you to some actual equity - no one gets left behind here!) If you're interested in amazing beer and social good take a look at the pitch on crowdcube and PM me with any questions. We've hit a massive 15k in just a couple of days, but need some more small (£10) investments before we can open the round to the world - we want lots of owners rather than a few big shots! And it's SEIS eligible...

This is a much better idea than starting an actual brewery. There are a lot of cuckoo brewers out there. The brew studio at my local brewery does a good trade in folk brewing a beer for their wedding or whatever. ( it's what we did, was fun). My wife is a beer sommelier and I don't think she could take yet another South London brewery cranking out whatever.

Intelligence is universal to our species. It's about what we do with that. Some put their genius to raising families, stretching their anus for impressive photos online, or community organising. Others use it for little more than adding extra custard to their binbag.

Plus you can meet other people and learn from them / help each other out. The wedding one is a perfect example - I used to brew with a guy and we made a beer for his wedding, which I was best man at. One idea I want to explore is people coming to the brewery for a stag do, make the beer during the do, and then serve it at the wedding.

You send in your label art on your brew day and then you get to stick them on during the bottling day. My wife really knew what she wanted to make so it was easy but they have really great brewers on hand to help. They also help with the local Unis Brewing course.

TBH Bercow was expected to defect to Labour prior to becoming speaker so this isn't that surprising. Bit annoying he didn't do it under Corbyn though what with being a Jewish lad who thought the accusations of anti-Semitism towards Corbs was bollocks, but I suppose defecting while Speaker would be a mite sus.

Bercow as leader would actually be extremely funny because I don't even know if he even disagrees with the tories politically as much as he thinks they're idiots. Which I'm not even sure how that compares to starmer agreeing with them politically and apparently being much more incompetent and also taking every opportunity to say how good he thinks the government is. And hey, he's done far more to increase labour's number of MPs than Starmer

Trip report from vaccinating at the London Stadium - loving *bizarre* going in there without a game on, even weirder having hundreds of people with needles in the drinking areas under the stand. About half way in I think I must have offended someone because I got exiled to the outside on "signposting" duties - yep, literally doing a job you could do with a bit of cardboard. One unexpected highlight was the two absolutely *stunning* women who asked me to help them take a pic of themselves outside of the stadium and any thought I have of completely wowing them with my superior photographic abilities was destroyed when they handed me an Olympus Trip AF, an 80s compact camera that was one of the first cameras I ever used and which I then spent a while selling in one of my first jobs, and I blurted out those facts, demonstrating I was in full time employment *at least* a decade before either of them were born. Pity, I was definitely in there, otherwise. What an *incredibly* weird thing for hipsters to glom onto though, I get it with the older 70s cameras with that black leather/brushed steel look, but this is just a cheap bit of plastic, barely stronger than one of those disposable cameras. Anyway they were *slightly* impressed by my demonstration that you get better results for full-length portraiture if you lower the camera to just below the waist - although they might just have been impressed that my fat arse managed to get down to a kneeling position and back up without a block and tackle. Anyway not long after that a shitload of anti-vaxers turned up and gently caress me they can make some noise. Fair play to These Youngsters With Their Weirdly Specific Camera Choices though. they not only ignored the weirdos, they took great delight in arguing with them. Little bit of real-world Twitter going on, really, particularly the bit where the weirdos bellowing at young people what they're supposed to do just couldn't understand why they weren't getting any results. There was a bit of unpleasantness with them harassing the younger women volunteers (and fair play to London Stadium security who are frankly normally wankers, they were *very* quick to interject themselves in those situations) so we all got moved back in behind the security cordon, which was a pity I think as it meant that a few people might have actually been scared off. Even so, by the time I left, there was *still* a good solid thousand-person queue, and (through the magic of back-of-the-envelope guessing on our part, not anything like an official number) there'd been at least 10k people through. In summary A+ would volunteer again except I won't because for some reason it seems to have been a one-off thing that was barely advertised until a few days before. They could do this every weekend until the season starts (and when West Ham are away) and probably make a significant dent, but it really feels like this was just a bit of a publicity stunt.

A couple asked me to take a photo of them at whitby a while back and gave me a very old digital camera to do so, I want to say like, 2000's ish but early miniaturization and LCD screens. Maybe 2005. Such an odd thing to see nowadays with even old phones being on par with them for picture quality.
