Infinitum posted:Me at work unable to see poo poo because my glasses keep fogging up from my mask I modify the poo poo of my masks to get them to stop fogging up. I pull the wire out so I can pull them right up under the nosepieces so the top of the mask is secured. If I leave the wire in, my glasses don't sit right. Then I roll the side down slightly to stop it trying to slide into my eyes and staple it in place. (I mean staple the mask over onto itself, not staple it to my actual face) Then, because that makes the mask shorter, I unstick one of the folds. Takes about three or four minutes but means I barely have to worry about fogging at all during a shift. Yes, it's a nuisance doing it every time. But if you're wearing a mask all day every day, it's well worth the effort.

Lol, a staffer at the NSW Nationals Budget Dinner popped positive with COVID so most of the Cabinet and a bunch of regional MP's need to self-isolate. The dinner itself, of course, violated COVID standards set for everyone else. Except the Premier. She feels she was only a casual contact and thus exempt from self-isolation. Fingers-crossed karma will do its job in a week.

Got to leave work early today because a patient lost her poo poo at me for having the audacity to ask her to send us her forms and referral by tomorrow cob so the dr could see her Sunday as he decided randomly this afternoon that he doesn't want a receptionist in on weekends to Handle the paperwork, so we should just make sure the patients send it to us by tomorrow. She is not going to do any of that, because gently caress me that's why, and is going to complain about how awful I am for doing my job at him on Sunday. So today's the third time I've threatened to quit in a month BC of abusive patients. Tomorrow will be the fourth, because I've got to make everyone wear masks and cop abuse about that all day. Catch me praying for a lockdown just so I can get a break from this noise.

To he second Melbourne case is a work colleague of the guy who attended the party and flew back to Melbourne on Sunday. The business is a dry cleaners so it's possible more people will pop positive. My grandson's cousin is having a 15th birthday party the first weekend in July. They're a huge, South American Mormon family and there is no way they will cancel it.

People really are assholes. Over 100 people from Sydney flew to Queensland yesterday. They got sent back but that really doesn't seem like sufficient punishment. I'm beginning to think that anyone breaching a public health order should be put in mandatory quarantine for two weeks.

School Holidays start tomorrow, and there will 100% be families fleeing Sydney that are infected that will infect regional areas/other states. And it will 100% be Gladys fault for not locking down.
