queen doona, some manner of middle eastern thick-thread throw, and about 7 pillows for some bloody reason. I don't get it, I only use two.

You have caught the "girlfriend/wife" virus I use a wool doona one of them waffle blankets and flannel sheets. If I sleep in flannel pants I get sweaty, if I sleep in trackies that are thicker and warmer I don't sweat. My flat is pretty consistently 23 degrees in winter. I barely ever run the heater unless I need to sweat the sins of a weekend out.

Double doona (winter and summer weight in the same cover) plus hot water bottle. Toasty as hell Edit: in saying that, a mate has a very uninsulated house that gets as low as 5⁰ inside. So they use an electric blanket and 2-3 doonas

I didn't used to have quite so many blankets but I tend to wake up if I'm cold the older I get so I'd rather be warm.

A sheet and doona at most. No flannelette, just cotton. But then again I am a furnace and quite content in a t-shirt and jeans in 10-15 degree weather, so that comes as no surprise. My proximity in bed is alone apparently equivalent to an extra blanket. I’d travel for work and my partner would crack the shits when she woke up freezing, having forgotten to add a blanket. Then the next night she’d crack the shits again when she woke up boiling because I came home again and she forgot to remove it. Nam Taf fucked around with this message at 17:49 on Jul 1, 2021 |

How many of you use top sheets? I grew up using one but misso reckons it's weird and annoying. I asked around and most of my friends don't use them either.

i use top sheets. usually in summer i just sleep on the bed with a fitted sheet though. I run pretty warm and I love the cold weather but i also love being ultra-snug in bed in cold weather.

I grew up using them and did for years out of habit even though we would end up kicking it off the end of the bed the first night after washing it. We finally gave up on them a couple of years ago. I figure you're either washing the doona cover slightly more often or washing both a doona cover and a sheet slightly less often.

Heh, when I worked at the NDIS my computer developed some kind of error which prevented me from logging into the participant management system. So I couldn't do any work, and no one seemed to be particularly concerned about it, including my manager who was located interstate. After four weeks of sitting at my desk staring off into space, the fifth IT ticket I logged for it got closed without the issue being resolved and I lost my poo poo and sent a message back to IT saying "DO NOT CLOSE THIS THE ISSUE IS NOT FIXED" and within ten minutes, I got a very strongly worded email instructing me that using caps in an email was considered swearing and a breach of the code of conduct. Oh and my issue had also been fixed. Guys, gals and non binary pals, your taxpayer dollars at work!

The organisation keeps buying new licences when there are unexpired ones on returned hardware. My daughter and her boss are working on creating such a masterlist, but there are 120 offices involved and many of them haven't updated information as staff have come and gone so it's a mammoth project. Half the time the offboarding process isn't carried out properly and people who've left the organisation still have system access. Last week my daughter threatened to revoke access for an employee who has been at his current office for two years and still hasn't submitted the required transfer paperwork. He pitched a fit. My daughter has a copy of the many, many emails his manager sent him requesting him to submit the paperwork, so she doesn't give a poo poo.

its not really. you get a license for each user (5 device licenses per user, usually) you can also get kiosk licenses for shared machines. the issue comes when purchasing. you cant buy them indvidually, you have to buy them in batches. it gets difficult when you dont have proper exit processes in place but if you're doing a quarterly AD cleanup of users you should have enough info to accurately reallocate licenses. you do need to keep a surplus on hand because its very rarely a 1 in 1 out scenario with head counts. we are dealing with weird poo poo like this now migrating users to a new RDS/domain after consolidating several into one. several people with 30GB of home drive data that havent been with the business for up to 3 years and no one knows what to do with the data nor do they want to find out whats important to keep and what isnt.

Is that the sound of a helicopter coming in to land I hear? No, wait, it's loving Scummo trying to spin what's going on as "oh well, this is just going to happen every now and then until we're all vaccinated . It'll be better later in Phase 3, this is still Phase 1!!" The Underpants Gnomes have a better strategy than him.
