Me, a very smart person: actually if you have nukes then superpowers will want to nuke you and destabilize your country more, they actually love retaliatory/desperate nuke launches. Dont ask my why the world is regularly invested in [trying to] keep India/Pakistan tensions low

North Korea should give Iran a nuke, transported directly through high-speed Belt & Road trains so the US Navy can't intercept it

Iran likely isn't going to actually build or buy nuclear weapons due to the fatwah Khamenei has against them. I very heavily doubt they are actually making them and I don't expect that to change until a new Ayatollah is appointed, if it even does.

Generally when a world leader starts losing a lot of weight it is a bad sign for their health. It takes a huge amount of self discipline and time to change fitness and dietary habits, neither of which totalitarian dictators have in surplus.

What's this nuke talk coming out of nowhere? You guys know Biden is trying to slowly exit Middle East right. BTW, Biden trying to lower investment in MD without issuing a doctorine to declear it is a mistake (basically an opposite of the Carter Doctorine.) I watched a few analysis recently predicted that Biden leaving Afghan so early in his admin because he knows if he leave near the mid term elections it would be impossible, like Trump, so he is trying to rip off the bandaid early. But this is going to be a mistake, because the Taliban retaking of the cities is going to be a slow and bloody affair. It's not going to be a quick rip off of the bandaid and both sides will commit atrocity including the northern alliance will kill off some Pashtun cilivians in the north. Credit of the analyse goes Micheal O'Hanlon, been listening to his new book.

We never should have gone into Afghanistan in the first place, but we could've and should've ripped the bandaid off in 2003. Obama could've ripped the bandaid off after killing Osama. Every coward who isn't willing to bear the burden of responsibility for ruining the country is only delaying the inevitable.

quote:So I was at Robinsons Supermarket today and I saw a QR code for Alipay, all written in Chinese. It has me thinking: The Philippines is surrendering itself to China. Everywhere I go, you see Chinese brands like Huawei, Oppo, TCL, DITO communications, etc. I find it really distressing how much Chinese presence are in the Philippines. Because of what the Chinese has done to this country, I despise them. I am in support of retaliation against any Chinese influence. That means removing Alipay from Supermarkets, no more Chinese signs in public, and stopping companies from accommodating Chinese tourists. If we want to send a message to China, we need to act on it.

Ferrinus posted:* the jasic strike is an awful example of china's labor movement since it was a bunch of students conspiring but failing to organize a factory along maoist lines. there are bigger and more successful strikes all over; that one failed to pick up any momentum because it was a bunch of eggheads trying to skip steps and ultimately garnering no support (and you can read about this in their own postmortem documents) F Stop Fitzgerald posted:lol that there are more ultras on twitter that love to bring up Jasic, then there were actual workers that the students managed to organize (literally just 80 people, out of 800) wow sounds like this experiment effectively disproves Maoism in the modern context
