If Page lost and slid down the rankings again, that's the type of booking that might cause people to be pissed. I mean, they could do it - it's just be more difficult to pull off. It felt like a one time stall to align the story with the logistics of post-COVID shows.

I think we're at the cusp of Hangman challenging for the belt. It'll happen in All Out or Full Gear. Kenny will have a few title defenses before that, but once Hangman defeats his inner demon and accepts that he wants to fight Kenny and wants the belt that's eluded him all these years, he'll take it. Hopefully in the same PPV, Lucha Bros beat the Bucks, so during the five minute long interruption fest (in which Frankie will shoot murder Brandon), the beltless bucks will attempt to BTE Trigger Hangman, and the Lucha Bros, in battle damage gear, will stereo canadian destroyer them onto tables while Eddie, Five, and Sting beat up Don Callis.

i have a great story idea. hang man wins the belt but doesn't believe he deserves it and justs sits around crying all day and loses all his defenses by countout for 3 years straight until he reads enough motivational facebook and reddit posts that he finally gets in the ring for a title defense and gets destroyed in 8 seconds by pac who loses by disqualification for kicking too much rear end. hangman remembers a post that told him you have to fail to become good enough to succeed and so he's won a moral victory

I agree if they want to extend the Kenny run a bit having Hangman go for the TNT title with his #1 contendership is an easy out. Whether he wins the TNT is another story. I’m leaning towards him needing to lose via self-sabotage in order to rebuild towards Kenny at Full Gear. It also will be a big boost to Miro who is just getting started with his run.

I don’t think AEW has missed the mark on payoffs for their storylines. Britt won at the right time. MJF betrayal of both Cody and Jericho weren’t needlessly drawn out. Starks and Cage might have happened sooner if Ricky wasn’t injured so I’m sure that when TK finally pulls the trigger on Page beating Kenny, it’ll be the right time.

I think having a 60 minute draw where Hangman kicks out of OWA is a decent way to call it. I don't think he needs to take a fall to realize he has it. A draw and overcoming the finisher sets up Hangman realizing he can actually do this even though he technically failed and Kenny realizing that his time is numbered. That being said, as another poster said, Hangman should win at All Out because I live in Chicago and will be at those shows so I deserve this and gently caress yall.
