Well they did kinda rush into it didn't they? I guess they wanted her to don the new attire and music by the next big show but they should have had it run for at least a month before they have her make a choice. I'm still really interest in where she goes from here though. Sucks for Natsuko. Knee injuries are really happening a lot in Joshi wrestling lately. We just had one with Tae Honma a couple of weeks ago.

There's not really any point in signing her right now unless she wants to relocate. And maybe she does, but there are also visa issues to sort out before that can happen.

Yeah AEW's not going to do too much with her until the pandemic ends and travel becomes easier. If we're lucky they'll get her in for the Casino Battle Royale at All Out but realistically that's the limit

I'm thinking about giving TJPW a try. Couple of quick questions: is there English commentary or subtitles so I can learn about all my new favourite wrestle gals? I like to jump back a bit and watch some old shows for context; is last year's Wrestle Princess a good place to start?

TJPW is particularly good at getting across the performers' various character traits without needing to know Japanese. If you just watch a couple of shows you'll understand about 90% of it. The other 10% is handled by @ddtpro_eng

TJPW is simple by design, everyone has such a distinct character you can just describe their gear and everyone knows who you're talking about. The only time you really need translations are for Hyper Misao gimmick matches (She's the super hero who constantly cheats and makes super complicated match stipulations) The only heels in the promotion are Sakisama and Mei Saint-Michel (The very tall model and the very small maid).

I don't find twitters bullshit worth the hassle most of the time so I just watch most shows without translation and I'm pretty sure I've got a handle on most everything just through context clues. I love all the Misao Weird Stipulation matches because they either hamper a higher card opponent or give opportunities to a lower card opponent and either way add more drama and uncertainty to the outcome than you'd have in a straight up-and-down wrestling match--her match with Arisu Endo on That's J-PW excelled at this. I really hope to see her get a shot at the championship where she can really synthesize the Hyper Misao style with some of her more brutal stuff from her NEO Biishiki-gun run. I feel she really understands professional wrestling and how to tell stories within it.

I know some people who still mourn the loss of NBG Misao, but Hyper Misao Who Can Actually Wrestle is basically the best possible professional wrestler. I still pop hard whenever she breaks out the Vanitas or another move from her NBG days.

Is it related to that bizarre out-of-character interview where she implied that someone was sleeping with Rossy? Thought that was all a fabricated interview, Mina seems like such a lovely person. When Natsumi and Mina left TJPW for Stardom, the roster seemed pretty happy Natsumi was gone but a lot of girls were crying because Mina left
