I got both rounds of Pfizer and now my PMS comes with ridiculously sore nips/boobs, in addition to each cycle lasting about 3 days longer than usual.

I've also lost about 60 lbs in recent months, so who knows which is to blame

e: weight loss was good and intentional, just also occurred through the Fauci Ouchie times.

Congrats on your weight loss!! I've been struggling to keep at the same level. Also, thank you for your info, when hell week hit and my boobs felt like they got tazed and ran over by a semi I wasn't so bewildered :glomp:

I am experiencing some of the most brutal bloating I've ever had in my life, and I can't tell if it's because I had food poisoning last week or my period being extra assholish to compensate for a very light flow

See this is why I miss Planned Parenthood’s Period Tracker app. You could enter in that you were on your period on whatever day and the app wouldn’t give you any sassback.

I use P Tracker, no sass and there's a thing to put in when you get busy if you're trying for goonspawn. I ponied up for the full version which has a spot for symptoms, temperature, a bunch of poo poo.

I just inherited a fitbit that offers period tracking and I'm trying but I wish there were a setting to say like "hey I'm on my week of iron pills but what's happening is best described as breakthrough bleeding rather than menstruation"

I used to really like Clue since it was no-frills and not pink, but it’s gotten more annoying over time. They added fun facts and subscribe banners. Now it sends me reminders like “Come back to Clue! Track something so we know you’re still enjoying the app!” I don’t “enjoy” tracking my periods and I really don’t give a poo poo about the app-maker’s feelings, please leave me alone??

I found the Fitbit tracking to be kind of trash, and there didn't seem to be any way to tell it when I got pregnant so that it would stop. I like P Tracker for period tracking and it was helpful when we were trying to knock me up. Its little weekly pregnancy updates are meh. It has sections on what's happening with the baby and what might be happening with me, which are fine, but then it also has a section "for dad" which is heteronormative to begin with and the content is usually bumbling sitcom dad levels of ugh.

got my period today :sigh: it is interesting that it's already pretty different, though. i used to get like, a week of lead-up pms symptoms and cramps and spotting before the real deal happened; now it's pretty sudden and the only leadup is like a day or two of on-and-off mild cramps. it'll be nice once it finally leaves me alone for good, but oh well.

Got the first Pfizer jab last Thursday and got my period Saturday and Jesus it’s like a cement mixer of cramps. Like first month with my IUD period cramps. I mean no hormonal acne this time so I guess I’ll take it but anyone with the second jabbo - any changes with that periodwise?

got my second jab of Moderna 2.5 wk ago and my period, while normally nonexistent due to Mirena, has been stuck in "gross burnt sienna end of rinse cycle" for about a week now, with random hit and run cramping

I'm super glad you got your jab tho!! :woop:

It's even worse when it's your girlfriend doing the asking!

First period post IUD removal and it was surprisingly easy. I was expecting awful cramps and a full on jammy clot situation and instead there was very little cramping and a normal, if heavier than I've had in 6 years, period. It makes me nervous because it could be cloud before the blood storm for next month but I'll call this month's period a decent one.

Got my second Pfizer jab about a week before my period started and everything is normal and on time, which means heavy flow, no big cramps, but a PMS of serious fatigue and irritation at all the usual bullshit that doesn't bother me when I'm not on PMS.

My period is about three days late. Not worried that I'm pregnant on account of not having any sex, so I'm just enjoying these extra moments of not bleeding profusely.

The hormonal acne I always get right before my period starts is a lot worse than usual though, so I think this one is going to really dunk on me to make up for the delay

If a nearby supermarket has a foodbank donation bin that could be easy. Foodbanks give out hygiene supplies too, not just food.

I don’t know if the US has a similar initiative but there’s an organisation here in Ireland called Homeless Period that specialises in distributing sanitary towels, tampons and other similar items to women and menstruating trans and non-binary people in homeless shelters. They have donation spots all over Ireland where people can just drop off packets of pads and tampons for the group to collect every so often.

It is now day 35 of my usually 28-day cycle and no period to be seen. Most mysterious. I gave it a google and none of the reasons for late/missed periods that came up apply to me (ie pregnancy, PCOS, stress, medication, sickness, extreme exercise). The last period I had was strange too, spotting before and after which I never usually have. I've never missed a period in my life so I don't know if it's worth worrying about or what. I feel like if I said to my GP "my last period was weird and this one has mysteriously vanished, is that bad" they would think I was a tremendous hypochondriac.

It's worth asking anyway. One time my periods stopped for six months and it turned out to be that I had a benign growth messing up my thyroid.

Also sometimes you can just have an anovulatory cycle, I think. At least I do sometimes (or did? I don't know if this pregnancy is going to change things), and it would basically be an extra long cycle. Sometimes there was a clear stress cause and sometimes it was just what my body did. My cycles have always been a little to a lot irregular though. Made TTC extra fun.

It has to be a thing. Both times I got medically significant cysts it was my right ovary and almost all of my menstural pain tends to be pretty right side focused.

Help my heating pad broke and I keep forgetting to replace it in time for my one-two punch cramps and lower back pain combo!

Also, my cycle is usually super long and irregular and getting vaccinated seems to have forced an almost normal consistent cycle, which is amazing and I hope it lasts forever along with the free 5G!
