So after a few weeks of having Kass's "She denies him pies these days" and similar reading series quotes ringing in my ears, I had to make a game to get them out. https://atypicalfaux.itch.io/serious-reading While comedy solo journaling RPGs are far from everybody's thing, I had to make something that would let people make more fun of these inane opinion columnists and their strange, empty lives. More than a couple reading series references are included, of course.

So I saw Black Widow yesterday, and it's very funny that the villain of the movie is a man who combines Harvey Weinstein and Jeffery Epstein. His appearance is clearly channeling Weinstein and in the beginning of the movie there are images of him with various world leaders, including Bill Clinton, set against a montage of scared and impoverished little girls. There's plenty of other weird stuff, like at one point he uses his "pheremones" to control Black Widow. One of the final scenes of the movie takes place in a lavishly decorated office and the bad guy monologues about how all the women he trafficked were trash; then he says, "I used the only resource the world has too much of... girls." The movie itself is fine and all. Goes down smooth, etc. But the MeToo stuff is very cynical and bad, especially when you remember that Scarlett Johansson was probably Woody Allen's biggest defender.

I was trying to search through, there was an episode (maybe two months ago?) where they pulled an editorial from NYT where the journalist was basically doing minstrelsy/black-face by writing about the daily affairs of NYT/other prestige journalists as though their activities were those of gangster rappers. Anybody know what episode that was, or have a link to the editorial itself?

Someone whose been making movies since she was 15 years old and has spent literally her entire life and multiple marriages in Hollywood is probably not going to have good or progressive ideas about anything She married Ryan Reynolds and now he has to put clauses in all his Marvel contracts that Deadpool and Black Widow will never interact in any future films
