if Conor really wants to lose again, I say let Dustin beat him up, whatever. I'm not sure Dustin has another title fight in him and Conor is obviously his biggest possible payday. Doesnt Dustin have hip problems? Just on paper alone he's been in the octagon for hours and hours, let him close out his career by styling on an even further diminished Conor

As a petty mother fucker who hates Conor mcgregor I gotta ask, the doctor stoppage thing is bs right? I mean, herb dean should have called the fight when he saw that Conor couldn’t get up to walk to his corner and also when he saw how hosed up his leg was. You didn’t need a doctor in their to determine if he could continue.

See this is where I'm not sure about the exact wording of the rules. I think only a ref can stop the fight and normally a doctor stoppage comes after the advice of a doctor. In this case I don't think Herb needed an expert to tell him things were snapped.

Dustin should've agreed with Conor and told him to come out for the next round. By Conor's own rules you only lose by ko and I think Dustin would've probably taken it at that point I mean he was losing on points, losing by Stockton rules and would've lost by Conor rules too

Tell me if my casual fan observation is wrong: -A fighter who has never used to leg kick loses because of the effect of leg kicks on him -In his rematch/next match, he spams a lot of leg kicks, because if they were good against him, they have to be good against everyone, right? -Because he never used to leg kick before and don't have the years of experience and conditioning a regular leg kicker does, he inevitably fucks up something. Most likely his own leg. I feel like I've seen this happen several times now.

Nah Conor used to throw a good amount of kicks. I and many others figured he was going to have a kick heavy game plan in this fight, and there he was. His kicks looked pretty slick in the beginning of the round, but hilariously backfired on him.

I watched a slow-motion video of the ending, which I sadly can't seem to find again. It showed that McGregor, with about 11 seconds remaining of the first, throws a straight body kick. Poirier keeps his guard up, but blocks/deflects it hard with his elbow. McGregor sets his foot down and seems fine for a few seconds and then becomes a mollusc. It's a classic Muay Thai defence, Liam Harrison shows it at around 0:30 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2pSYHCeD58&t=214s That may well have been what caused the injury. He tells Conor to "Stay back, stay back", Conor takes two steps back and while Herb looks to see if Dustin is behind the black line, Conor just walks foreward and takes the center before Herb starts the fight. It's so loving blatant and Herb needs to hang it up.
