Irish pundits were ripping on Southgate for leaving it all to young, dark-skinned, inexperienced lads to take the deciding pens. Especially the last one which was just to stay in it, very high risk for small potential upside. Failure of management and leadership of the senior players imo

Turns out football wasn't allowed back after we tore up the Schengen agreement I guess. The biggest shame here is gonna be the various twats dumping on rashford for this and using it to undermine his efforts on school meals etc.

I'm a Brit living in Asia and I forced my eyes open to watch a stream at about 4am. It was the start of the second half, we were one nil up, which was a bit of a surprise. I watched ten minutes of us sitting back far too deep, hoofing long balls up whenever we got hold of it, about 90% Italian possession. The ten minutes ended in their sloppy goal. I rolled my eyes and turned it off... It's extremely England's style to go out softly on penalties, but we didn't deserve to even get that far IMO
