Got the first bit of my House of Fraser preorder through, got Doubledealer as the leader class. The box is hosed but he looks like a very decent lad for half price. Still waiting on my Sky Lynx, though.

I really hope they don’t send Sky Lynx in a bag too. :/

So, that Gavin Spence video made me aware of the Legends Convobat. Think I’ll have to hunt one down somehow for my birthday next month. I’ve been waiting for a decent version of Bat Primal, and little did I know that they had one in Japan as a Titans Return Mindwipe recolor with a new headmaster. I didn’t even know his official name is Convobat! If anyone has any leads, let me know. Totally fine with it being loose, and the gator Megatron headmaster would be a big plus for my Skullcruncher, but not necessary.

Apparently the material in the wings makes it prone to cracking along the hinges after a few years. It may have been fixed for the reissue, but it'll be a while before anyone knows for sure.

Is Threeandup a reputable site? Saw they have a Convobat for $89.99. That’s really steep for a Transformer to me, but the character is right up there with Nemesis Prime as a favorite of mine. It’s like Optimus Prime crossed with Batman.

i ordered the skylynx too but have not heard anything about him being shipped at all. fans toys are releasing their soundwave finally but under a new company called robot paradise  it looks nice but i don't really see what it does over takara's masterpiece soundwave. i've knocked a bunch of the MP line toys before, but i think the soundwave and mp-36 megatron are about perfect. the fans toys rumble and frenzy are nicer though:

Fans toys Soundwave also does a funny/weird cheat, iirc - more of the chest than just the actual window folds forward, meaning that the cassette bots can be significantly larger, leading to more in-scale robot modes at the cost of totally beefing the iconic moment of ejection.

Yeah it does do that. An odd choice, but maybe worth the tradeoff for the better cassette bot scale. I don't display mine in ejection process so it doesn't really bother me. The eject thing is so iconic I can definitely see it being a dealbreaker for some, though.
