Masato Yoshino, Naruki Doi & Shachihoko BOY vs Natural Vibes (Genki Horiguchi, Kzy & Susumu Yokosuka)

So this'll be the 3rd last Speed Star televised match. Despite everything Yoshino still has moments where he runs the ropes faster than anyone else & you forget that it's nearly over. Perhaps I'm overrating it a bit but it combines some traditional DG comedy with the rubber band & being too dizzy to go to the right corner with good solid, DG bread & butter 6 Man Tag action and the sentimental element around the impending retirement of legend. Even without understanding a word the emotion of Kzy's promo got to me.

I thought it was great too. Love how Yoshino is taking in everyone's signature moves and spots one last time... Also his slingblade is supersonic wtf. Nth.

Double nth. Asuka vs Mizunami was just a fantastic war. And Arisa vs Nanae is the sort of outstanding wrestling that makes SEADLINNNG the only joshi group I watch everything that makes tape (mind you, helps that they only run 1-2 times a month), definitely watch these.

Asuka vs. Ryo, I forgot how loving sick the headbutt/rainmaker combo thing was. Some things of significance for the build to this match, Ryo was Asuka's senior in WAVE which they both ended up leaving. Asuka's first major title in wrestling was the Regina di WAVE which she dropped to Ryo. The outfit Asuka is wearing is her WAVE outfit (or at least a new outfit designed to look like it). She's trying to exorcise demons of the past in this match.

- The two best wrestlers in NEXTREAM (and also maybe in the company) against my favourite Total Eclipse pairing. They go absolutely balls to the wall for 20 minutes and had me entranced. It's not up there with Kento's best singles matches but that's more because Kento is a beast. This match ruled.

This match is my match of the year as things stand. It follows on from the GAEAISM main event on 6/13 which was my match of the year when it happened. A lot of wrestlers will ignore the size differential between themselves and their opponents in order to get all their cool poo poo in making the match look like something out a video game which can be cool, but in this match these two really played up that Chihiro dwarfs Mio and it made Chihiro look a beast and Mio look incredible for dealing with her onslaught.

There were some truly sick bumps from Chihiro's Germans and an amazing armbar spot from Mio. Chihiro is a monster, Mio is a genius. If I gave star ratings, I'd give 5.

The one that really popped me was the one where Chihiro buckle bombed her but she held on and did the MiSu over the top rope armbar then dragged her down to the floor

And yeah it was a really great day. Worth having to shelter in the coffee shop next to Korakuen from an insane thunderstorm.
