This is a very old urban legend, back when I was hiking a lot you would regularly hear a story of a friend of a friend who got their photos developed after hiking the Appalachian trail and there was a photo of them feeling on the camera.

Reminds me of the classic GBS thread where a guy found a camera in the woods and shared the photos, at which point people began slowly finding silhoettes of creatures in the trees. The series ended with him ascending a watchtower, seeing something inside via a reflection, and running. Last shot was taken from the ground. It was an incredibly spoopy effort post amidst a sea of nonstop shitposting and probably gave rise to Slenderman etc.
