from what i can tell from the manga, after the series switched magazines it mostly switched from stuff like the ai ep or the eating disorder ep with acting as a backdrop to acting with stuff like that as a backdrop

akuma no riddle is a weird assassin of the week dark comedy/action thing that seems to mostly exist so the author and her girlfriend can make doujins about their favorite ships for the rest of their lives, but it has some sweet character moments and is genuinely bizarre and distinct enough in parts to be memorable, even if a lot of the cast gets barely any development and the plot doesnt really exist. its called akuma no riddle because some guy who is never relevant to the plot calls the main character at the start of every episode to give her a riddle and this throughline never goes anywhere and half the time the riddles are utterly irrelevant to the episode or don't even get answered. thats the level its operating on. im super into its vibe.

Just watched the Kakushigoto movie which went up on Funimation this week. It's a recap movie and there weren't that many new scenes added so I would probably recommend watching the series instead (and it was really good so you should).

i respect the author of the one yuri manga that started out with the central focus of a little brother supporting his sister's lesbian crush, phased out the little brother as a major focus three chapters in, abruptly ended four chapters later, and then they just drew a couple twitter comics showing a time skip with all the girls sleeping together as adult roommates
