She's also been doing a lot more voice training and it really shows during her Night Fever streams. If you compare a recent one to one from 4 or 5 months ago you can hear the improved tone and pitch control. Strong sheep is getting stronger. Edited for context. Ririsya also released a new original song for the summer season. This time a duet with Hayama Marin from Nijisanji. Its very bright and upbeat compared to her other originals. Aye, between the way Coco and Lulu went about their retirement processes, the former's approach to things was certainly a lot less traumatic. If anything, giving forewarning allows people to have more time to make peace with things, to potentially do farewell projects, for the company and teammates to pay their homages, and, from a more meta perspective, for fans to find and transition to the retiree's side account (if available). There'll never be a painless way to go about this - especially as the years go on and "attachment", for lack of a better word, builds up between the community and a Vtuber -, so I say the way Coco went at it as the best it'll get.

I guess I was misunderstood: I meant specifically the "Important Announcement" Thumbnail. Leaving a few weeks to a month to let the fans come to terms with it and end happy (as they can be) is 1000% the better option.

The sudden disappearance of a handful of indie and small company Vtubers all at once did a number on people too. The talents who graduated who ended up becoming NijiEN and Kawaii Pro members, almost every person from MyHoloTV leaving, Tsunderia's bumpy road, VOMS losing Monoe, etc. all happened before Coco, and the community started to get a little scared. Some really deep friendships and communities kept getting up-ended. Coco and Lulu's very sudden departures were what made people realize that their heroes weren't invincible, and when you're simping as hard as Coco's fans do, you basically have to start coming to terms with what amounts to addiction withdrawals. The possibility of graduation is an actual trigger, and the trigger warning is just reassurance that it's not so dire this time.

I mean, it's cause Coco was on top of the vtubin' world, said she had a very important announcement, and that announcement was that she was leaving. She didn't say she had sad news or a very serious announcement or anything like that, it was like she was gonna announce a collaboration with Sony or something and instead it's that she's not gonna be around no more. It left everyone off balance because now we don't know what tone to expect out of an 'important announcement' cause it can be anything from a new song to them leaving the company.
