I saw that co-op was coming this summer, and it got me thinking - are there any good co-op custom maps, preferably oriented towards 2-3 players? My wife and I play this together pretty often and it would be cool to have something to do other than comp stomps.

The game still crashes once every 10 skirmish matches or so but is otherwise fine. Sweden and Incas started out OP but have been toned down in balance patches and now Ethiopia and Hausa are the new OP monsters. Not really a big deal if you just want to play campaigns and solo skirmishes though. e. And apparently one of the Poles' unique units is... Hussars getting 5 more HP, 2 more damage, a point of armor, and a more expensive upgrade cost. Like, they get this instead of the regular Hussar upgrade. O.o

The other Polish UU is kind of a wet fart as well. I think the Polish civ is more suited for someone who likes to focus in the economy because of its fancy mill I guess? I wasn't impressed at all. Still gotta try the campaigns (yes I'm a sick gently caress I do like playing those).

I am, in fact, someone who goes EXCLUSIVELY for the single-player, I don't go for regular games against bots, or multiplayer. I'm just not good enough at the game, or willing enough to put in the effort and focus to get good enough to compete. It's just not what I enjoy in the game.

Without going into NDA breach territory. I will say AoE4 is the improvements to aoe2 I want without changing too much of the core rts gameplay. I think it will be well received addition, if it doesn't migrate the competitive scene over.

They absolutely botched the regional pricing for 4 in South American stores, here in Argentina it's ten times as expensive (3000 ARS) as the remasters for 2 or 3 (300 ARS). It made the "pre-order to get Dawn of the Dukes for free!" bit very funny because DotD is like 150 ARS. You're saving a whole 5% wow! That said the mechanical changes feel very intriguing and I look forward to picking it up on sale later in its life cycle.

You mean AOE 4 is around 30 dollars there, compared to 60 USD in the US. Rejoice, hermanos! Also it's approx. 37 USD here in Brazil (R$ 199,99). That's the regular price for a brand new AAA game. Usually it's even more expensive. Keep in mind AOE 4 is a brand new game, not a remaster.

So, uhh, I just want to mention, I've made a little discovery in the Jadwiga campaign. One of the levels, you're not allowed to build Castles, and walls and towers have had their stone price jacked way up. They uh They forgot to do the same for Bombard towers. Okay, going back through the early campaigns again, and I have a goddamn question. Jean Bureau. The Bombard Cannon hero in the last Joan of Arc mission. Why the actual gently caress does this man have worse stats than a regular Bombard Cannon? His wikipedia page's first paragraph contains the sentence "he is credited with making French artillery the most effective in the world." They did this man a hefty disservice.
