Wasn’t that mod as creepy as the frontier it just didn’t get any press for it at the time? I remember that a girl sexts you using the vault internet and also the writing being fallout 3 tier

There is certainly a lot of weird sexual insults and teenager levels of 'this is what ADULTS talk like!', I def wouldn't compliment this mod enough to say it reached FO3 levels

The biggest issue I really have with it is it assumes you've done a ton of leg work on background poo poo even when you haven't. Which leads to poo poo like..Go to this cave and fix the water supply line, ok cool but you get there and talk to the NPC on site and have an option to start babbling about FEV in the water supply

For what it does it is just too unwieldy and conflicts with a lot of better things.

tip: New Vegas' console unfortunately doesn't have the "help" command (useful for finding formIDs). However, JIP LN NVSE (which you're likely already using) adds a "search" command which serves that same role.

Modding NV in 2021 is so much more pleasant and stable than even just 5 years ago.

I got lucky because Electro City didn't cause any issues for me and it added nice flavor to the wasteland. It was really cool doing a run with a number of the "add various people" mods - really filled in the world.

Simple Street Lights isn't a new mod by any stretch but it does the same thing as Electrocity without the bloat. You just need a hot fix so it works with the quest Ant Misbehavin'.

Did .45 mods and ammo always become integrated into global vendor lists after leaving Zion, or is a mod doing it?

I think at the very least vendortron would sell .45 ammo and weapons after Zion

Do lobotomites have really high perception, cause with sneak 70, in light armor, I'm constantly in caution, even when not moving?

lol internet
That was my experience with my last vivalasvegas or w/e playthrough, yeah. Most things in the Big MT had absurd perception, but I leveled enough in the area that eventually I could sneak, and the sneaking suit certainly helps.

It was a little strange, but it certainly made things more challenging and I enjoyed it.

Yeah it's been a good challenge, especially since I went in almost naked at level 15 (as a challege). Once I abandoned the honorary FO4 survival rules (only save at a bed, no fast travel), it's been pretty fun.

But I still think lobotomite perception range is dumb.

IIRC the lobomites are always that annoying even in a vanilla game. I remember it being a huge complaint when OWB first came out, them and the Robo Scorpions.

I was a sniper so never had trouble with the lobomites but that meant the roboscorpions spawning behind you towards the end required me to save scum through.

You know you didn't have to go post that, right?
But it's fine, I guess...

You just keep being you!

If you specialise in guns, I guess. Unarmed, melee and energy weapons all get +damage to robot variants somewhere in the game - although the sole unarmed is the Paladin Toaster hidden in a cave at the bottom of Black Mountain, I think.

I like the way OWB sucks. It's like it was made to torture people who play sneaky snipers and considering how easy that build makes the rest of the game I think it's a good thing.

OWB has great loot and great writing but it really is a slog to fight through no matter what build you use. It's blissfully also really short though, so whatever.

I took the robot perk for my first OWB level up to deal with the scorpions, and basically for the first time am taking advantage of the disabling function (that's why I like doing these challenge runs, you can't brute force your way to victory, you gotta use all your available tools). With astealth boy, it ends up trivializing the Mobius ambushes, and conveniently, robo scorpions sometimes drop stealth boys.

Grave? Shovel! Let's go.

The thing I hated about OWB was that those loving lobotomites would show up with brush guns and high level stuff like that.

They're medical experiments! They should have like pointy rocks or something.

Right on. One more thing: Don't mind them being gone much, but where do all the items the game throws at you at the start go with all the VNV mods installed? I noticed all of them being added to inventory when I did a test run, but not when I started my actual save after finishing mod installation.

The actual Jsawyer mod distributes those items to various places that make sense (eg you find the vault 13 canteen in the old highwayman) I assume "Ultimate" does the same

Billy Butler: Fat Guy by Day, Doubles Machine by Night
I just played OWB last week and the issue for me was that my perception must be too low cause lobomites were constantly sneaking up and getting the drop on me.

But OWB is my favorite expansion by far. I just headcanoned that lobomites, despite being lobomites, have adapted really well to Big MT and are now just super sneaky motherfuckers.

My main issue with OWB is not enough ammo if you aren't an energy weapon user. First time I played through I was one so it was fine, second time I was trying to go full cowboy and eventually said "gently caress it" and would console code more ammo in
