lol, chinas so drat good at fighting covid. we're down from like a hundred cases a day to 4 in like a month. I reallyy pity everyone who's not living in a covid 0 country. In BJ they went pretty nuts about the like 3 cases they found, but it was all traced immediately and didnt spread. Basically shops and malls push you to wear a mask more but theres no real change. China's become extremely competent at tracing exactly where breakouts happen and doing extremely localized lockdowns. Nice to have the police state actually working for the common good rather than just entrapping you like in the west

we (nz) got 1 community case on tuesday, went into a hard lockdown that night. as of tonight (saturday), there are 51 confirmed cases and around 10k close contacts in isolation. zero covid is the only moral position, and the chinese method works... simple as that

Nice to have the police state actually working for the common good rather than just entrapping you like in the west yeah it’s pretty cool. there’s one confirmed case about 700 meters from my apartment so there’s a no go zone around that whole city block. it’s not technically locked down but if you set foot in there then your covid status qr code turns yellow immediately until you get tested. if your code is yellow instead of green then good luck doing anything, like taking the metro or going to work
