Is there a transcript of this? Or a program that automatically transcribes maybe? Sounds very interesting, but I can't listen to podcasts with my hearing.

the two main presenters are NYC artists doing this podcast since 2018, so a little skepticism is certainly justified

that said, their epidemiologist guest is loving spot on with many other epidemiologists' criticisms of Oster and others. she just swears a bit more and that's okay, I think

yeah, poo poo's bad

Discussion
We show a modest reduction in vaccine effectiveness against COVID-19 in Utah corresponding
to the expansion of the Delta lineage in the state. This reduction in the effectiveness of available
vaccines correlated with the arrival of novel VOCs, rather than waning immunity, is highly
concerning. This should serve as a caution to states throughout the US that the Delta variant has
the potential to bring with it renewed outbreaks, even in highly vaccinated populations. If there is
a consistent trend of increasing immune escape as new variants arise, it could eventually
undermine the effectiveness of current vaccines and necessitate mass re-vaccination.

A lot of people actually have kids. They need to send them somewhere to not be homeless. And the mass media is pushing the narrative that COVID is over.

I live in Ontario and there is no media messaging whatsoever that we're gonna roll hard into the fourth wave.

Speaking personally, but those incubators have been specifically trained to teach algebra and cello, neither of which skills I have particular strengths in, but we put specialists there with university training to continue education in their fields. A couple of years ago we just called them schools.

If the moment it became clear this was a global pandemic, all the nations able to afford to do so simply said 'shelter at home for two weeks, the government will foot the bill on your usual wages during this time, and if you do not have food at home to last two weeks, here is a hotline you can call to have food delivered to you by government workers.' It would have saved not only countless lives, but also cost far, far, far less than the pandemic's economic impact has been and will continue to be.

As always, a society driven purely by naked amoral greed is vastly preferable to the capitalist nightmare driven by greed and cruelty that we got.
