My son’s cardiologist has received our request for off label pfizer vaxx at the phase 3 dosage and is looking into it etc, reminded him based on his medical history I feel the benefits far outweigh the risks, but who knows what a decision to make.

Saagar (Breaking Points, formerly The Rising) has COVID and mentioned this morning that (roughly) "Delta is very infectious and I could have gotten it anywhere" and since he was vaccinated that definitely helped him have a mild case so he "didn't seek medical care to not overburden the system" and then uses those correct points to continue wanting schools to open. Like I know he's a moron but it's amazing to see people list all the reasons that kids shouldn't be in school: highly infectious, no vaccine, overburdened already medical system == open schools? loving wild.

Higher filtration capability (e.g. MERV 13 instead of MERV 8) is also going to increase intake resistance all else equal. Some people worry about the increased load on the fan wearing it out faster but IMO this isn't likely to be an issue. Motors are pretty tough as long as you don't overheat them and fans have the advantage of being more or less self cooling. I did the 4 filters and run on low speed and it's still fairly loud, but I think you could use a single filter and run it on high. It's just loud AF.

My sats have gone up, I’m at 98% so that’s great. I do have increased shortness of breath though so one step forward, one back. Despite my efforts to isolate from my family, my youngest has COVID now too, he is doing ok other than a cough and headache but we’re chilling together and having some bonding time. Everyone else in the family is vaccinated and asymptomatic so here’s hoping that they stay that way. Hospital update: We saw a decrease in volumes just before school started but now things are going back up. This wave has plenty of gas left in the tank I think.
