I think it's a case by case basis... we have trials ongoing with thousands of kids already jabbed. I have a kid who spent the first week of her life septic with her lungs being burnt out with o2 just to keep her alive. she's 5 now and is being forced into in person school with a law against requiring masks and no virtual option, and the closest trial is an 8 hour drive away. I would like her vaxxed, but I am differing to her pediatrician (today) who also knows that history, as much as it completely loving sucks and I think I'm right and she's a religious nut who referred our oldest to a pedi neuro who talked a whole lot about the role of faith in medicine over his hold muzak

I'm so loving mad at my work/boss right now. just got over covid/released from quarantine last Sunday. housemate moves back in that day, gets tested last Thursday and pops positive (got results yesterday). I didn't/don't think much about it, because I'm Max Tittered, and thats the common logic - I just got over it, no big deal. I mention it to a co-worker (an anti-vax chud) over the phone and they suprisingly sound concerned, and say def run this by the boss, because they prob have protocol/procedure for this one. So I call boss, and he says that he doesn't know the procedure for that one. He tells me to call my Dr and ask. And I do. After 2.5 hours on hold I get through, and they tell me that it's considered an exposure, and that I need to quarantine while my housemate is quarantining. I call my boss (he doesn't answer), so I go abouts telling my coworkers and making arrangements. Boss then calls back, and is pissed. He sends me some sort of CDC guidance that is bunk as gently caress, and says I need to go get a combo rapid/pcr test, check myself into a hotel, and come to work tomorrow. He'll pay for the test and hotel (*until the end of her quarantine). I'm covering for a coworker who is on vacation in Colorado this week, and he can't afford to have our jobs shut down. If I'm unwilling to jump through the hoops to keep the work rolling, he'll just have to find someone else. He called me back and somewhat changed his tune, saying that he read new/different CDC guidance, and we can quaratine in different parts of the house and its fine. I told him that I don't give a gently caress, and we're all rolling the dice. Lets rolls them together. I'm v v hot right now. Loving life.

Started leaning on people for the off label scrip, and what I heard (secondhand obviously) is that pediatricians are trying to write it for their own kids but getting turned away at the pharmacies. Also, that pfizer IS back to testing 20 and 30 microgram dosing in the expanded trial. Further signaling that efficacy is way down (like we all expected, I don't give a poo poo, just let me get my kid something).
