This is concerning. Also to the people saying that there wasn't enough time to plan, the models were pretty in agreement before it went over Cuba that it was headed to Louisiana. My youngest brother and his wife live in New Orleans and never evacuate for this poo poo but they had a big wedding in January in the middle of Covid Hell Original Flavor so basically they make really lovely life decisions regularly

Katrina had baked most of its damage by that point because of it's size and the amount of water it pushed ahead of it. I think some places saw a 28ft surge with Katrina Vs max at the moment for Ida is predicted to be 16 ft which is still devastating.
