tinker tailor is probably my favorite realistic spy movie, in large part because the cast is so good plus mole hunts are fun [see also bbc miniseries "the game"]. I'd still love an og-style bourne movie that isn't a techno thriller but that's probably never going to happen computers killed the spy genre

anime is a medium and is not inherently good or bad. I watched eva rebuild 1 and 2 last night, they are so much better from a storytelling perspective than the series holy crap. I still wouldn't recommend them to people who aren't giant nerds but man what a difference
