If the plague llama had lesions then the poor sod was sick, possibly in pain, and if it wasn’t TB then it shouldn’t have been used as breeding stock regardless because lesions are never good.

I do like how Defra's header is 'Geronimo the TB-positive alpaca – Initial post-mortem results' just really getting it out there that no, the alpaca did actually have TB don't listen to the tweets

bitten by a radioactive, tb-diseased alpaca, keir starmer starmforms into the incredulous centrist. Faster than a hot take, stronger than the triple lock, able to topple polls in a single year. e: ingeronimous tbastards

Friend has just been kicked out of the Labour Party (not just suspended) after more than 50 years for being on a zoom call in March with a group that wasn't proscribed until July. Another friend expelled likewise for being on a different zoom call - again prior to the relevant group being proscribed (though his party membership mirrored mine - in during the 80s/90s til Iraq then back in when the party became socialist again for a couple of years under Jammie Corbster.

Labour Against the Witchhunt are afaik legitimately anti Semitic and poo poo tho tbf, and p much always have been. Sharing platforms the Holocaust deniers is not comradely or leftist behaviour. (Not saying your friends were in them JA, just saying that there is a decent reason to be going after some people, despite the whole thing being enormously overblown). Will try go into more detail on that tomorrow if anyone wants.

Please do- I don't know much about the various 'lefty' factions in lab these days but using 'against the witch hunt' as a name sounded dodgy to begin with. That's one of the things I reckon that gets the melts riled up- the genuine, good faith lefties have had a lot of success by just being progressive and offering a positive vision rather than amplifying the talking points the right want to attack on.

One of my friends who got expelled was on one of their zoom calls. I can safely say he is not in any way shape or form anti-semitic.

Jackie Walker based from my local branch in 2017 and I posted at the time that I had constant email spam about votes on statements like "we reject the idea that antisemitism is present in the uk as a ploy to smear Corbyn" With the most charitable understanding of their actions, and a full hostility to the media campaign, they were incredibly antagonistic and not helpful comrades.

I voted for my union's indicative ballot on the NHS pay deal. 3% is more than most are getting, but it's still a poo poo deal that's coming not long after our last poo poo pay deal. I'm still angry that the union told us the last poo poo pay deal was actually good (not that I voted for it anyway, but still).
