I just want to add am useless puzzahut factoid that has nothing to do with the above meme. In China puzzahut is wholely licensed by a local company called Yum! Inc which runs Pizzahut completely separately from the US version. They also license the Taco Bell brand plus a few other things but the Taco bell chain folded in a few years because the Chinese didn't like hard corn bread folding grounded beef and whatever. Essentially Pizzahut in China is an upscaled Italian chain like Olive Garden. You don't do take outs and it only share the logo with the international Pizzahut chain.

when i was in south korea in the early 00s pizza hut was like a fancy sitdown restaurant. it had pizza though, and it was actually pretty good.

I read an analysis today Evergrande has a lot of oversea investment and HK developer mogul investment money, for this reason I don't think Beijing will come in to save it too early. Also the owner guy has 9 billion of personal health, so he is going to have to split out large chunk of it.

This evergrande thing may actually be a very serious thing. Nobody knows who is holding the bag. That's a lie. We know foreigners are going to be holding the bag. Someone in doomsday eco posted an article that was about Blackrock getting balls deep in Chinese real estate. I'm going to laugh so hard if they are Bigly exposed. The evergrande story has been a low simmer for awhile now. I want to say back in feburary there was rumblings about some of this, but it really came to the forefront in june or July. The cpc has said they are doing everything to protect Chinese banks and finance. I think the politiburo will let evergrande blow up because they know Chinese finance and banking will be fine and most of the risk is owned by dipshit foreign investors. Watching the bonds is hilarious because people are desperate to unload them.
